Just wondering if anyone has any feedback? It all looks lovely, but it's so hard to tell online, particularly fabrics and sizing.

Sorry, I haven't ever bought anything from there but it all does look so lovely.
I always think the girl that models for them is so naturally pretty too.

I don’t know, but I’d like to. Hopefully, someone will be along to tell us soon.

I found a lot of things that Olive sell really appealing. Then I found that very often their clothing is "one size" (8-12) and the sheer stupidity of that put me off.

Yellowtulips33 · 14/09/2021 22:39

Generally very very good quality, but yes, sizing is irritatingly small. Website used to be hopeless as hardly anything was shown on an actual person but I think they’ve got better with this recently. Basically if you’re a size 8-12 you’re fine but any larger and you’ve got no hope. But as I said, quality tends to be great.

That's great to know about the quality, thanks!

I'm probably ok with the sizing, but I do think it's a ridiculous business model. A bit like Brandy Melville which dd was obsessed with for a while, where everything is size 6-8. Apart from the lack of inclusion, surely they'd make more money if they had more sizes?!

My experience is that the knitwear is great quality (I have a couple of styles and both have worn really well), whereas the dresses I tried were a cheap looking polyester nightmare and went straight back.

I was a bit horrified by the sizing initially too, but it’s an interesting idea: less wastage.

I've almost bought things once or twice - especially knitwear which looks lovely, and then noticed that it had quite a high percentage of polyamide/acryllic/whatever, so didn't bother. They do often look really nice on the website though

Knitwear is amazing. My favourite ever jumper is from there.

I know the sizes are a bit restrictive and it's not great that you basically need to be size 8-14 to wear any of it, but I respect that they're making a limited number of pieces and not having thousands of items sitting unsold in a warehouse that then have to be dumped. It's pretty good from a sustainability point of view.

I like Olive and have always found their stuff good quality. I got a lovely coat in the sale a few months ago. It’s a bit hit or miss for me though as I’m a size 12 and some things only go up to a 10.
