Magnetic Eyelashes...

Which are the tried and tested (by real people!) best ones?

Strip lashes give me hand shaky rage half hour before I'm going out and I can NEVER get it right, and the last time I had extensions I scratched them off when I was asleep, and really hurt my eyes. Are magnetic ones going to be the revelation I want them to be?

Placemarking. I have wondered this as well. Just bought some regular lashes for an event and found they don't include adhesive - excellent.

I recently bought Lola's Lashes to try them out, and can honestly say they're amazing (if you're patient in waiting for the eyeliner to dry!)

Ughmaybenot · 07/09/2021 10:51

Oh, jumping on this one too, I completely identify with the shaky hand rage 😂

Blushtassel · 07/09/2021 11:22

I recently bought Lola’s Lashes too as a newbie to diy lashes. They look amazing on but you definitely need more than half an hour for the eyeliner to dry!

TaraR2020 · 07/09/2021 11:27

I love them :)

The one thing I will say is that the magnetic liner is quite sticky and difficult to remove at the end of the day. I was hoping to wear them frequently but because I find it difficult to clean the liner off the lash thoroughly I'm saving them for occasions instead. I still get a few repeat wears out of them though.

I've had lots of compliments when wearing them, the sort where people can't tell what's different but know something is.

Ooh I really want to know this too, have been wanting to get magnetic lashes for some time. Are they as great as they sound? Watching with interest.

UndercoverIntrovert · 07/09/2021 12:14

Thank you - interesting (imperative!) reading! The trick seems to be leaving enough time to do them.

Sorry to labour the point, but can you recommend which style? I usually have to cut strip lashes down and have regrettably flabby eyelids.

@TaraR2020
I've read anything with oil in (eg micellar or a cleansing balm) gets the magnetic stuff off best?

Are Lola's Lashes the best ones? I'm ok to spend £30 if it's worth it

I bought these after seeing them recommended on here and I'm really happy with them. They are really easy to apply (you do need a thick line of the eyeliner though) and the quality of the lashes themselves are really lovely.

@UndercoverIntrovert
I bought some on amazon which don't seem to be available anymore, they came with about 10-12 pairs of different lengths and I found the 2nd shortest length ideal, they were tapered at the inner corners so no trimming needed.

I found them really quick and easy to put on and they lasted all day without lifting on the edges, lightweight, couldn't tell I was wearing them.

I use an oil based micellar water cleanser, tbh first time I wore them I forgot to clean them and then I was playing catch up. Got most of the liner off but there was a lumpy bit after couple of wears that got stuck to one of the tiny magnets and I ended up ripping the lash when I tried to pull it off.

I haven't tried Lola lashes yet but might next time, suspect the eyeliner is exactly the same in all of them.

TaraR2020 · 07/09/2021 16:37

P.s. dont recommend cleaning the lashes with a cotton wool pad, the liner when it gets sticky attracts bits of fluff!

PinkTonic · 07/09/2021 16:59

I’ve got Lolas and also bought for my daughter. We both like them although it is true that getting the liner off is a bit of a mission. I bought the Daisy which were a special edition, and the rose quartz which are very natural. I think DD has been back for some thicker ones for going out out.

whiteonesugar · 10/09/2021 17:00

Lolas lashes here, agree the eyeliner is hard to remove but the lashes stay put and don’t irritate me like some. I’m a convert.

Pic of me wearing them - mine are ‘sapphire’

Is the eyeliner easy to apply? I’m also a bit crap at that 😂

VienneseWhirligig · 10/09/2021 17:36

I have the same ones as @ParadiseLaundry and they are brilliant. O did find out last night though that the liner is not waterproof and if you end up crying, you may lose your lashes Grin I use the shortest ones and they look really natural. I'm a bit scared of the longer ones but I am not really that used to false lashes.

Nellle · 10/09/2021 17:41

Lola's lashes genuinely made me nearly miss a wedding.

TaraR2020 · 10/09/2021 18:46

@nellle is that because you were too caught fluttering your lashes in the mirror or because you couldn't get them on?

Nellle · 10/09/2021 19:26

@tara

No, sadly it was because the liner kept printing/smudging itself above my eyes while waiting for it to dry, ruining the rest of my make up.

Probably more to do with the shape of my eyes than anything else, but not a problem I usually have with liquid liner.

Would only recommend if you are happy to have a thick line of liner and have plenty of time to sit still looking downwards while letting it dry!

TaraR2020 · 10/09/2021 23:35

Thats so frustrating!

I've never had issue with liquid eyeliner but the number of times I've had to take off my make up and start again because I've sneezed while applying mascara... Grin

Phoebesgift · 29/09/2021 22:31

Lolas lashes, also Kiss do a flick and stick sticky eyeliner in black or invisible. Work perfectly and you don't need to apply a thick black line.
