Can cosmetic botox give you a headache?

I had botox for the first time for my 11s about two weeks ago. It was the lightest dose they offer, 4-6 injections over my brow, done by a reputable hcp.

As expected it kicked in around day 4, all fine, then around day 14 I noticed a further increase in the effect. Today is day 17, the effect seems to have intensified further and the penny dropped that the chronic tension headache I've had for the last week or so is intensifying at the same rate as the immobility in my brow if that makes sense.

I love the way it looks - it's really flattened out the bunched-up area between my eyebrows, though they warned me it might not be enough to do that - but I'm less keen on the headache.

Could the two things be related or is it likely to be a coincidence?

I had Botox twice. The first time, I bloody loved the result. The second time I got pressure headaches for some time.

I've only had it twice, but actually found the opposite. I think it's because I can't frown/squint all the time so it's really reduced the amount of tension headaches I get!

I didn't realise headaches were a potential side effect, so am watching this with interest to see other people's experiences.

I get a “thick” head if that makes sense but it soon goes once it settles down and I think it was more so the first time.
See if it dissipates in a couple of days. I’d be surprised that it would last so long but kind of makes sense because it would be linked to your muscles relaxing.

Thanks for replies.

It does feel a bit like my neck - and maybe scalp? - are trying to counterbalance what's going on in my brow. To be fair I've been doing other stuff in the last month or so that could made my neck stiff. I rode three different bikes, I drove my mum's car a lot and had to keep rearranging the headrest etc so it could be anything. It's just the way it's ramped up alongside the effect on my brow, it does feel related though there's no way to know.

I booked a physio massage for my stiff neck but physio had covid symptoms and cancelled. Now it's turned into what might be a migraine - aura, nausea etc - so am necking a full fat Coke and painkillers.
