Anyone got it, and is it worth it? Just had an email to say it's back in stock

I was lucky enough to get John Lewis vouchers by taking part in the government Covid Study. I saved them up and used them to buy the Dyson hairdryer. It had this attachment, it's actually really good and had replaced the need for me to use straighteners. I have fine(fish) shoulder length - one length hair - with a wave if leave it to dry naturally.
I use the fine hair attachment to get my hair dry-is then do it with this at the end.

Has anyone used this, is it worth purchasing?

Yes, me!
I have thick, coarse hair and I've always been absolutely rubbish at blowdrying it with a brush like they do in the salon.
On my hair it works exactly as advertised. It blow dries it straight, as if you were drying it with a brush. I was a bit surprised how well it worked.

It does take a bit longer to dry than it does with the regular attachments, but I then don't need to straighten it afterwards.

I have just got this but am not sure how to use it. I thought most of the videos said that you had to dry your hair first and then use this, so I tried using it on already dry hair, but didn't get much effect. Can you dry it from wet while using it?

Use your regular attachment to dry your hair about 75%, then use the flyaway attachment. You want there to be some moisture in the hair to help it work, but not too wet or it will take forever.

Yes I got one! Fine wavy hair prone to frizzing here. I wanted something to straighten my hair but without the flat, ironed look that straighters give and it seems to work well! I use Colour Wow Dream coat spray (or any other heat protection product), rough dry hair then section off and use attachment (finishing off with some Olaplex oil.

If you look on YouTube there’s videos by Dyson that show how to use it. Nadine Baggott did a useful video too here I really like it!

Thanks, I'll have another look at the ones that show more drying. It was on the Dyson site that they said dry it first - if anyone has any good video recommendations, I'd be keen - my hair is very thick and wavy and frizzy. It is usually very 'big' and wiry/frizzy by the time I've dried it with the drier smoothing nozzle, and then the flyaway attachment doesn't calm it down or make it smoother/smaller, so maybe using it earlier in the process would help.
