Any hairdressers about to ask a quick question Re dyeing hair?

Dc had their hair split dyed over the summer holiday - one half bleached, one half dyed black.

We have used a colour remover on the black, and it is now a mid brown. This was done 5 days ago with hair washed daily since.

We've got a nice n easy mud frosted brown to Re dye their hair for school, which us quite close to the half that has had colour removed.

Do I need to dye one half longer than the other for an even coverage? Should I dye the bleached half, rinse then dye full head, or would I be OK to dye the full head in one go and get even coverage?

Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks

Normally to go from bleach blonde to brown you would need to apply a red colour over the bleached hair before applying the brown because putting brown straight on blonde can turn the hair a muddy colour however I have gone from blonde to brown using just a brown without the red before though the brown I used has been quite dark so it covers the blonde and its been ok. I would test a piece of hair from the back and see how it looks if it looks OK apply the dye and as the other side is dark already ypu wouldn't need the colour on that side for as long so of the dte says 30 minutes I'd put the dye on the bleached side for 20 minutes then apply to the darker side for the 10 minutes.

You need to put a red based colour on the blonde side first because a brown dye will most likely turn it khaki.

CargoBobbie, thanks, is that any sort of auburn red dye? I'll get the nice n easy then same brand over lapping when I put the final dye on.

Looking on nice n easy I'"m thinking the light auburn or chestnut brown for the bleached side...

I'm sure it's any dye with a red base, so I would say yes. I went back to dark from bleached blonde and put a red based light brown on first which turned my hair a gingery/auburn colour first. Then a dark brown covered it without a khaki tinge coming through.

Sorry for the late reply.
