Mid price shampoo for fine hair

Any recommendations for a mid price shampoo and conditioner for fine hair armpit length hair that need daily morning washing?

Currently using tresemme 2 in 1 as it leaves it clean and does not get greasy throughout the day.

Previously had the huge bottles of orange wella for fine hair from tk maxx but it's hit and Miss.

Looking for a change and maybe sulphate free ( is that the same as sls)

Used a shampoo and conditioner at a spa and it felt great - can't find it to purchase though.

Just don't want to spend aveda prices Grin

Klorane. Pharmacy French brand with lots of variety

Not sure what you mean by mid price, but I use Loreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo

LlamaofDrama · 14/08/2021 12:58

I like John Frieda Wightless, it seems to be doing my hair, which sounds similar, well. I've used thickening ones before and they just made it a bit limp!

Charles Worthington Thicker and Fuller helps my fine hair feel better. I’ve also just tried Nioxin for a few weeks (trial pack around £50 at Boots, lasted well) and I’m impressed with that. More so than Aveda’s Invati for a similar price.

Thanks everyone @LesLavandes klorane looks great.

Mid price is basically not budget brand like I'm using right now (£1 a bottle) so £10-20 for a shampoo and conditioner.

Will have a look at all these thanks!

Nioxin system - I buy online from allbeauty or feelunique sites. It's made the hugest amount of difference to my fine hair and my scalp feels much better covered if that makes sense.

I use the system for coloured thinning hair, and get the largest bottles for around £23 each but they easily last 6 months.

Other nice ones are Kerastase.

I tried the nioxin starter kit on Amazon and it felt quite harsh.

I liked the spa one as it smelt unbelievable (lime and basil) and my hair was soft and tangle free without getting greasy quickly so it felt really soft and clean.

Usually if it's soft and smooth it's greasy or limp and weighed down with it a few hours.

Thanks for the ideas will keep looking!

Honestly, my dd and I both have fine hair. We’ve tried every shampoo under the sun, but always come back to Tresseme.
I keep my hair in a layered Bob cut above my shoulders and have it trimmed regularly to help it seem thicker.

cherrypiepie · 14/08/2021 19:01

@Soontobe60 I mean well end up back where I started!

I just don't want to spend £10-20 and it be unusable but I suppose that is the only way I will find out!

I have fine hair and have recently switched to Grumm bars for shampoo www.gruum.com/free-shampoo-gift-choose/?v=79cba1185463 been very happy with them. Not tried the conditioner though

KidneyBeans · 14/08/2021 20:03

The silicone free granite ultimate blends.

It's the silicone that weighs down fine hair

dontgobaconmyheart · 14/08/2021 23:04

I have long fine hair I wash daily and I find the faith in nature shampoo pretty decent, the rose one seems to suit my hair best. It's usually about £5 so not too pricey if it doesn't suit. I've tried loads over the years at various price points and it's doing the job for now. I also recommend shampooing with a silicon scalp brush (a few pounds on amazon).

Snozz2828 · 15/08/2021 07:49

Another vote for loreal elvive fibrology. I've spent a fortune over the years and never found one better than this. Followed by some wella shockwaves volume mousse.

Galaxyinmypocket · 15/08/2021 08:17

Nioxin 3 like @BrilloPaddy suggested is amazing, buy the big bottles from allbeauty and they last ages!
Alternatively, try tigi bed head in the red bottle, also great for fine hair.

Faith in nature looks good!

Also, one of the best things I've found is to just embrace my natural hair - it's really fine & slightly wavy, so I wash it with a thickening shampoo and conditioner, but then I don't do or add anything else - my natural air-dried waves give it more volume than any product I've tried

I've recently found Frizz Easy Brazilian look shampoo and find my hair less frizzy with it.
