Lego hair

I have recently realised I have it. Brown hair, cut midway between my chin and my shoulder, with a fringe. All one colour because I dye it myself with box dye.
What do I do? Cut it shorter (have done in the past, didn't really like it, made my face look fat). When it's longer it just looks straggly. But it really does look like Lego hair right now.
Any advice gratefully received, I am not good at style in general and have zero hair skills

I'm similar to you and have found some box dyes are much better than others. Nice and easy covers get well andgives lots of tones. I've tried loads of them and this is the best. Perhaps not the best grey coverage overall but the most natural look. Better than John Frieda, Garnier or Schwartzkopf.

Thanks for that, I'll give nice and easy a go, the last dye I used didn't last at all, I think it was garnier

You could maybe get it cut into some layers or a shorter back and longer sides? Definitely highlights or similar if you can afford it. I try and.embrace my Lego hair lol. I always just hack it off with kitchen scissors when it gets too long, and block dye it. I'm 31 and just hate the hairdressers! It's probably not as bad as you think. You could plait it when it's wet for a few natural waves, let the fringe grow out and change the parting, clip the fringe out of its long enough? X

Thanks Minnie I think I'll have to experiment and see what works. I'm just so very bad at hair, I'd never be brave enough to cut mine, my 6 year old would probably be a safer bet to let loose with a scissors😁
