Hi - hoping for some help I'm stuck in such a rut. 33 3babies by csection in 3.5 years and live in comfy clothes that are mostly u flattering. I'm back to work in 3 weeks after being off since March 2020 (lockdowns then sheilding when pregnant followed by maternity leave) and I look bloody awful. I've about a stone to lose and I'd hoped to have it off for work but no such luck, baby doesn't sleep so I look permanently grey and exhausted and frumpy. I have a budget of about £250 to get myself some basics for work and just in general this month but I am at a loss of what to get - I'm short 5ft1, a bit over weight I've always been pear shaped but but I'm pear shaped with a mum tum to boot so big tummy thighs and bum - my waist isn't too bad but I find things that show off my waist highlight my caection tummy (high waisted things) and things to hide my tummy like tunic dresses make me look even bigger because I'm short and then they generally swamp me Sad
I really hate how I look at the moment and I'm dreading going back and for my colleagues to see me - I've really let myself go and I know they'll all be thinking it too. I've got a haircut and colour booked in for next weekend so that's something, don't have time for a gel nail app at the mo but I will paint my nails to look a bit more poslished and I've ordered some double wear light online to hopefully try and hide my grey face a bit lol any help or advice would be much appreciated Star oh and I'm a teacher so sort of smart casual that I can wear for work but also home / weekends is what I'm looking for

This section of Uniqlo seems made for you. Some of the items are ‘coming soon’, but there’s every chance they’ll be in stock before you go back to work.

You do sound exhausted ... I imagine you’re taking advantage of all the domestic help you can possibly get? How is your diet? Perhaps you don’t have much time or energy for cooking - but if you don’t already have a weekly veg box I’d strongly suggest you arrange one, if you can. (Unless you’re already self sufficient in this area.) Eating far more fruit and veg than you ever thought possible will have a reasonably swift and definitely noticeable effect on your skin (and possibly your mood).
