Corporate wear in middle age

I feel I'm stuck in a rut
I'm in a professional job and meet clients daily. It's a very male dominated job (in fact I'm the only woman in the team and the boss- but that's a whole different thread)
They all wear suits, jacket, tie and I need to hold my own.
I have always worn knee length skirt and heels, dress and heels, lately I have started to wear tailored ankle grazers/smart loafers and blouse but it's not quite smart enough for some appointments.
I think I need to update my wardrobe but don't know where to start.
I've looked at Cefinn, The Fold etc but would like to find some accounts on Insta for some inspiration.
My main queries are are heels out? There are so many comments on here that heels are dated. What dresses can you wear in a corporate environment which are more modern? I'm 5 foot 10 so dresses can't be too short.
Not a fan of Hobbs or Boden personally as I do think those are generally quite staid and would like something a bit more edgy.

The reason heels are out is because people dress less formally nowadays. You can still look smart in flat shoes. But if you want to look super smart and formal, heels are still the way to go (if you’re ok with walking in them all day). E.g. I would still wear heels for a wedding.

Oh and if you want something a bit more edgy then have a look at clothes from Meem London.

Have a look on Instagram. Try monikagoestowork she works in a very corporate environment and has lovely dresses and shoes

Do you wear jackets/blazers for client meetings, a dress on its own may not project enough authority.

Oh also you could follow Corporette, it’s a bit American lawyer but lots of content
