If you don't use a loofah in the shower, what do you use?

Just that really! I like using a loofah but am aware they're unhygienic and am wondering if there's a better alternative that also provides gentle exfoliation

I use Korean mitts and I have a long strap style one for my back. They get chucked in the wash with flannels etc.

Are they unhygienic?
Does the soap not kill bacteria and then it gets washed away?

Scarby9 · 06/08/2021 10:20

A scrunchy netting puff thingy.

RubyGoat · 06/08/2021 10:23

Salux cloth. Machine washable. I've had my current one for quite a long time & apart from being slightly fluffy around the edges with lint, it's still fine. Nicely exfoliating & I've got DD to start using one as well. They dry super quickly, so they don't go smelly.

Korean Italy towels. Bloody amazing

limesoda · 06/08/2021 10:35

I dry body brush before showering

Abraxan · 06/08/2021 10:45

We use bars of soap which are inside a small bag. We don't remove the soap to wash. I change the bag once or twice a week - it's only me and dh using it after all.

Exfoliating gloves

You can throw them in the washing machine.
I highly recommend the Soap and Glory ones, don't get any old cheap ones as they won't be exfoliating enough.

DoylyCarte · 06/08/2021 11:09

I use a japanese wash cloth and chuck it in washing machine.

I second this post - I used to use the Japanese cloths but these are so easy to find. Perfect, clear skin on arms and legs by using these daily.
Polmuggle · 06/08/2021 15:13

The whole point of Korean clothes is not to use them in the shower? You use them on damp skin, once you can see no water droplets.

mrswishywashy1 · 06/08/2021 15:29

A large net puff

Melroses · 06/08/2021 15:39

You can grow your own loofahs, and compost them when you change them.

Or cut them up for disposible pan scrubs if they don't come out too well.

My hands Shock

Who uses a loofah? Are you all dead posh? Grin

WrinklesShminkles · 06/08/2021 20:03

Japanese wash cloths from Muji. As they're a single thin layer they dry quickly. You can machine wash them and they last ages.

purplesequins · 06/08/2021 20:05

flannels
