Help - white leggings for 8 yr old for Christmas play

They've just decided white, not black, leggings at the last minute for my 8 year old.

I'm going out after school and can do any of the normal shops - would just prefer not to do them ALL. Her friend is wearing 3/4 length ones, so that's probably best.
Also a pretty white top (smock?) would be great. Any suggestions gratefully received...

Try Claire's Acessories for the leggings. And I got my dd a lovely smock-style t shirt from Quality Seconds.

I got white leggings from Ethel Austin, but that was back in the summer so not sure if they have them at this time of year. Sorry, prob not much help! (If you are really struggling ( at least you won't be the only one)you could buy some white tights and cut the feet out?)

MrsPuddleduck · 28/11/2007 14:03

Can't you cut off and hem a pair of thick white tights?

My dd has white leggings which I got in the summer from TK Maxx.

Try places like Zara and H&M, or M & S have thermal long-johns which might do. Hang on will try to find a link.....

Been having the same headache for ds1 (only he won't consider white tights or leggings!).

I saw white leggings in Tesco Extra today (trimmed with a bit of white lace round the bottom). BHS have white leggings too, also Primark.

M & S have a longsleeve top

a dance shop should stock them - or cut the feet off a pair of tights?

Fimbo · 28/11/2007 14:07

here

Wow. Thanks everybody. I didn't expect so much response, or so quickly. now I know which topic to post on.
I bet the friend's legging were from Tesco Extra - I know they shop there. Don't think I can make that one, but will try the ones mentioned. (Lucky they are still quite fashionable.)
