Best Face Sunscreen for Hyperpigmentation/Sun spots

I have a large-ish sunspot on my face. Been checked by a doctor & assured it’s sun damage (admittedly not great but at least nothing worse). I use SPF50 - by Coola - and always wear a wide-brimmed hat even on sunny winter days in the garden. But I’m wondering if there is a better sunscreen specifically to prevent further growth or darkening of sun spots & even possibly lighten them? I’m 50 with dry skin so need a product for mature skin. Don’t mind paying for more expensive versions as long as they work!

Physical sunscreens (rather than chemical) are better for hyperpigmentation. For example, ones containing zinc or titanium dioxide. The downside is that physical sunscreens tend to be heavier in texture.
I use a brand called Ultra Violette, but I also always wear hats outdoors if it's sunny and keep in the shade if it's really sunny. I also wear sunscreen all year round, which has really helped my melasma.

Also, the sunscreen itself won't actively lighten, although it's possible your spot might fade over time if you're using sunscreen religiously.
I had quite a bit of pigmentation on my forehead and had a course of IPL which improved it greatly.

I've been trying the LaRoche Posay age correct spf which claims to help fade sun spots but I find it pills with makeup so I'm not enjoying it. I know Eucerin have a spf which also claims to help reduce pigmentation so I might try that next. I've been using their dark spot corrector for a couple of weeks and think it may be helping, so might be worth a try.

Thanks for the replies & recommendations. I have bought the Eucerin option, recommended by @Ponks as it had lots of positive reviews on multiple sites. I have also ordered Caudalie's range of glycolic brightening products (2 different types of serum, a morning moisturiser and a richer one for evening which doubles as a mask if applied thicker) to try and rectify/reduce the pigmentation. It's pretty dark in places but even if it just lightened them a little and/or prevented them getting worse then I'll be happy.
