Cruelty free alternative for Bumble and Bumble

Hello Mumsnetters, I am in need of your collective wisdom.
My teen DD and I are on a mission to go cruelty free with our cosmetics, skin and hair care.
We’ve managed to find good swaps for everything, but the one product I swear by for my hair is the Bumble and Bumble All Style Blow Dry and I don’t know where to start with finding an alternative.
My hair is quite fine and straight and generally needs washing every day as it looks a little greasy on day two.
The Bumble and Bumble protected my hair from heat and also left it lovely and straight and feeling clean.
Any suggestions for cruelty free alternatives?
Thanks very much!

Do you have very greasy hair, as that seems to be the main point of difference for the B&B? For the other aspects R+Co Park Avenue Blowout Balm is a really good alternative but I'm not sure how compatible it is with greasy hair. They're cruelty free, vegan, etc. don't sell in countries that require testing.

Just out of interest - is B&B not cruelty free? Their website says they are, and I use some of their products, so if they're not I'll look at changing!

My hair isn’t really greasy it can just look a bit flat and lank on day two. I’ll look at the Blowout Balm thank you!

@dgirluk they're owned by Estée Lauder who do test on animals

They allow third party testing in countries where it's required, like China, so a lot of people don't consider that cruelty free. Some also take issue with their parent company. China is abandoning mandatory testing though, although I'm unsure about the timeline, it was supposed to happen in 2020 then it was somewhere in 2021.

I checked all my products on a website called Cruelty Free Kitty which says they aren’t cruelty free. It’s the third party testing that made me want to swap.

Ahh ok that makes sense. So EL are allowing animal testing to happen so they can sell in China, and B&B are owned by EL, so associated with cruelty that way.

Thanks :)
