For him, to, er, "wear in my office" (otherwise known as downstairs loo). I know you all love a challenge... Most grateful, my onw internet researches have come up with little.

I was just admiring some lovely ones in Jacadi as I pushed my daughter back from school an hour ago . About 35 euros.

eh? smoking jacket dressing gown for a 7 year old? what is wrong with a normal towelling type one you can get anywhere??!!

Anna8888 · 27/11/2007 12:02

I think the OP means a shawl-collared dressing gown - smoking jackets have shawl collars.

JolieGirl · 27/11/2007 12:03

do you live in a vast manor house where smoking jackets are de rigueur and towelling is all too common for words darling

Anna8888 · 27/11/2007 12:03

Jacadi is a big brand of children's clothing.

It's not me who is being poncey, it's him! He has an "office" in the loo and he sees himself looking over his papers there in what he sees as a grownup style dressing gown (which appears to be a smoking jacketish thing as spotted by him in old films).
I may have to slink off in gruesome himiliation now...

Also, I think the whole office thing is tragic effort to carve out own space as shares room with brother and the dressing gown is part of the whole mysterious urbane grownup image he is cultivating...

krabbiepatty · 27/11/2007 12:08

He's rather a romantic soul, thanks, Katisha, like having the young Shelley in your home...

pmsl - I thnk he would like to give such an appearance without quite knowing that is what he is striving for. He asked if he could have a diamond ring for Christmas (so maybe he actually wants to be Peter Andre [hmmm])...
(dimaond ring for 7-year-old boy - a thread I won't be starting)
