I am really tempted to get these. Has anyone had it done and what was it like . I feel like my eyes really age me and I am hoping that the fillers will have an impact on my horrible under eye circles

Hi I had mine done for the first time about 5 weeks ago.
I’m really happy with the results. I also had a tiny amount in my cheek to compliment the TT.
I’m now not using any under eye concealer.
The dark circles aren’t perfect but much, much better.
I’ll definitely be having again.
I’ve had a few random ‘you look lovely’ since which has put a spring in my step !

Definitely worth it - lasts a long time and totally natural, you just look refreshed.
I had mine a year ago and still don't need a top up...

JMAngel1 · 27/07/2021 14:04

I badly need them. I went to a party where photos were taken at the weekend and I looked dreadful. Literally diagonal lines running from the inner corner of my eyes across each cheek.

I was gutted as I left for the party thinking I looked nice whereas I actually looked like Skeletor. Feel really down about it this week actually. I also have a double bag under one eye - in the photos my eyes just looked awful - really baggy and puffy and yet skeletal at the same time. I swore I was never going to go down the injectable route but at almost 50, I think it’s inevitable Shock

JMAngel1 · 27/07/2021 14:05

Will it work for both these diagonal lines and the bags? Sorry to derail thread OP.

Feedingthebirds1 · 27/07/2021 15:20

I had mine done about three months ago, as the bags had got so bad you could have packed for your holidays in them. It's made a real difference and it didn't hurt at all. I too had the extra bit in the upper cheek when the doctor said that was the best way to do it. But I do have an excellent doctor who really knows what she's doing and I trust her.

I have had them about a year ago. I was very happy with the results and have had fillers this year to improve my lower face
I always said I'd never go down this route but was fed up of looking tired

Karmakamelion · 27/07/2021 22:46

Thank you all so much. Can I ask where you had them done and how much? Is there a significant risk of anything going wrong?
And JMAngel dont be sorry your questions are just as relevant as mine xxxx

I’m in the SE & paid £425. When I told the price I initially winced but the fact of how long they last sold it to me.
I really was dreading bruising/marks on my face because to me I just couldn’t see how I wouldn’t see any visible marks but apart from the tiniest of red marks there was nothing.
My guy (a retired dentist in his 70s) uses a cannula rather than a needle which means much less chance (almost 0) of piercing/damaging a blood vessel (it’s blunt rather sharp) so a much safer method.

I hope I’ve explained it correctly.
Anyway I could have gone said from treatment room to the pub it was good & the effects are noticeable immediately.

@Footballfrenzy2021 do you mind putting a link/giving us the name of the Dr/clinic? Thanks!

@obeabdabother I got them done by Dr Ducu Botacoa in Harley Street for £450 in May and he was fantastic. He is a breast surgeon so fully qualified and also uses a cannula.

You go for your first session and then he will see you two weeks later for a top up (he will slightly under fill the first time to make sure you like it, and then you can have them dissolved - although I doubt you will want to - or topped up free of charge at your two week check up)

I'm 27 but have always had deep troughs and absolutely love the results. I live with my boyfriend and he didn't even notice although has said how refreshed I look recently Grin
