Nice, possibly sexy non-wired bras. Do they exist?

I really want some non-underwired bras as I find wired ones too uncomfortable (I seem to have quite wide breasts, but a fairly small cup size so the wire always digs into the side of my breast).

I am usually a 32C or a 34B depending on where I shop. Also they are still quite perky so support isn't a huge requirement. So far the only non-wired bras I've been able to find that aren't nursing bras are from M&S and are the same ones my mum wears!

Please help.

Should say I don't bra shop very often so I have no idea where to start looking.

They look perfect Pistachio. Hadn't thought to look on figleaves. I shall look up your suggestions lennygirl. Cool and sexy sounds good.

Have you thought about being fitted for a bra? It could be that a wired bra woule be fine but you have the wrong size. I only thought of it after speaking to a friends today who said she felt like a new woman after having a fitting at the weekend.

From what you say, it could well be that you are wearing the wrong size. Underwired bras can be perfectly fine. They shouldn't dig into you like that certainly.

I've been fitted at Debenhams and Marks and Spencer. They both measured me at the same size 32C or 34B depending on the style of bra. However I do seem to have very wide breasts IYSWIM. From the front my boobs look quite big because of their width, but from the side they don't actually stick out that much.

I do find that the style of the bra makes a big difference to comfort, but on the whole the curve of the underwiring of most bras means that it ends up poking into the side of my breasts yet if I go up a cup size the cup is to big, and if I go up a back size I get no support.

I have a weird shape!

Thanks for the tips ladies, the sloggi looks perfect for me.

I think some of us just don't get on with underwiring. I feel so much more comfortable in a nice stretchy cotton lycra number with no fasteners of anything. They are hard to find these days - Knickerbox used to do a nice line, and vests with shaped cups too, but that was a while ago so I dunno if they still do.
