...what one would it be?

It doesn't have to be black, but it does need to be versatile, so not, like, pink or orange or something. Not something cheap and synthetic and sweaty - decent quality and cut. Also, I'm petite, so not something that drowns me. Say budget £100ish. Where would you look?

I wouldn’t rule out pink but I would pick a muted one. Or a muted grey toned lilac
If you are think more autumn winter I would go for a large but sedate check pattern.

Pink is definitely out. I never, ever, ever wear pink. I'm thinking black, grey, navy, dark green, maybe maroon, or even white.

If you’re only buying one then I’d go French chic and pick black and wear it with the sleeves turned up when I want a more casual look. My absolute favourite is the Cambridge blazer by Saint and Sofia. But I like Massimo Dutti for this type of stuff too.

Recently bought a navy one from Mint Velvet with ruched sleeves in a silk-type fabric. Works with everything.

H & M have some lovely boyfriend blazers in at the moment - I bought a cream linen one which also comes in black.

I have this one plus last years navy version with pewter buttons. Beautiful cut, lined and versatile.

Is a boyfriend blazer an oversized/boxy one? If so, there’s no doubt that I would go to Zara as a priority. They do boxy blazers very well, but try a range of sizes on as you’re petite.

They both look nice for workwear, but more importantly for casual wear. The grey looks really good against denim
