Brown dress and black suede boots?

I have to go to a Christening tomorrow and have nothing to wear - shoe wise I have a new black suede pair of boots, with a heel and I found out a brown wrap dress - just tried both on, and there is about a 3 or 4 inch bit of leg showing - if they are OK to wear together, should I wear tights? Black/tan? Bare leg? What colour coat? I have only an anorack so need to rush out and buy a decent coat I think, although I hardly wear dressy coats.

sounds fine
brown tights with a pattern? fine net? or diamondy?
not black imo
bareleg will be too parky imo

Agree. And would get a black jacket to tie in with the boots.

Ta They are my big spend of the year, trying to get some use out of them, usually I wear trainers 24/7. OK, I'll pop to M & S and get the brown tights and look for a black coat, thanks.

oh yes sounds fine
I think brown and black work well together, and black suede will look good

You were so right! When I bought the tights I though "oh feck, they are pants I will probably end up going bare legged" but they looked great! Thanks!
