What style of glasses suit a heavy fringe

I'm getting my eyes tested and im pretty sure I'll end up needing glasses. Normally id take my husband as he's good a picking things and giving me an honest opinion but i need to go alone and i have no clue what type will go.

I have a fairly heavy fringe, just above my eyebrows. My hair is auburn but im going blonde in the next fortnight. My face is... chubby! Really need to get on that diet!!

Does anyone have a similar hair style and also wear glasses?

Depends on your face shape. I've a friend with a heavy fringe who wears large oval shaped plastic frames and she looks fabulous.

Id say a plump heart shaped face.

Wait until you get your hair done before you buy the frames.
Take your DH with you to try on frames.

I've been told im not allowed to bring him. They phoned earlier to go through the covid procedures and I asked if he could be there for choosing frames and they said no. But that's a good idea about waiting till I've had my hair done!

You can go two ways, either strong plastic frames, or the other way rimless . You'll be given a fitting at the opticians and they should advise the on frame shape, which is more than just what suits you, it needs to work for your prescription too. It sounds like we're similar colouring and mine are purple so you can have fun with colours too.

Some opticians have a virtual trying on facility. It will give you some ideas of which styles you like and what suits you.

I do like the idea of coloured frames. Id quite like some sort of pink.

I did that on a company called Iolla website today. Gave me a feel for what I might like m

At your appointment ask advice about face shape...try on a few to get an idea if they're right, use your phone to take pics of your favourites. If you're not in love on the day then say you'll think about it. You can take your prescription with you. Then get home try-ons from online opticians. Glasses Direct are one but there are others. Best of both worlds!
