Bra size ridiculousness... Triumph smart fit?

Having stopped breast feeding, unsurprisingly none of my bras fit me anymore. I did the boob or bust calculator and it gave me a 30G, but using the same measurements on the Wonderbra site I was a 36C! I don't see how that can be correct as my under-bust measurement is 31 inches. I've always worn a 34 but to be honest I've never had a bra that's fit me properly Blush

So I have no idea where to even start. I then saw the Triumph easy fit bra which is incredibly tempting - not sexy I know but I'm just desperate for some comfort! I think I'll try a small and a medium as I have absolutely no clue what size I am.

Does anyone have any advice please, about either sizing or whether the easy fit bra is any good?

I found boob or bust sizing fairly accurate, although not only every brand but every style is different, so when you change size you have to try so many before you find the perfect fit Sad I was advised on here to go up a back size for Wonderbra compared to Freya brand (which I think belongs to Triumph) and that turned out to be good advice. The bra that fits and supports me best is from Freya, but other Freya bras give a weird shape or the cups are too small in the same size , so it really is a minefield. I'm a 34 FF in my prefered Freya bra (underbust actual measurement 33) but a 36 G in Wonderbra.

Molki also do a multisize bra, as do sloggi and uniqlo actually. The molki was always sold out when I wanted to try it so I never did, but I liked the uniqlo mid weight loss for a bit - comfortable, not perfectly supportive but ok. I liked the sloggi in the shop, but at home realised the band was accommodating my breasts, not the cups, so it wasn't actually doing much support wise, though it was also comfortable.

Good luck - finding the right bra when you change size can be expensive and frustrating!

I didn't get on with BoB the band was much too tight in all brands I tried.

I have similar measurements and BoB told me 75E but after trying many I settled on 80C (european size) which fit me well and don't dig in anywhere.

I recently used BoB for the first time. I went from a 34DD to a (recommended) 30H. Ordered three bras from Wacoal with mixed results, because I also have a 31” under bust I opted to size up to a 32 band which worked for me. Overall the bras did fit better than my previous bras but ultimately whether or not they really fit came down to the style of bra. But man-o-man the bra that fit (32H) reaaaally fit. My boobs appear to be sitting about 4 Inches higher and look well separated. The band is tight, so it’s not a bra I’d lounge around in but it really works for daytime/going out.

Could you make it to a John Lewis or something where you could try on tons of bras to figure out what’s correct?

More or Less looked at bra sizing. The problem is that sizes aren’t (and never were) standardised. I think their expert advice was keep trying them on until one fits.

I edging I found that for boob or bust to work you have to squish your boobs from the side so there's more boob in the cup. If you just put on as normal it will be too tight in the band and the cups will be too small. Once you get the right size the two underwires will be flat against your skin.

I put my bras on leaning forward, which serves the same purpose as goose1964 described. I noticed that this means that the breast is actually in the cup, whereas if you put them on standing straight up you have to adjust them. If the band is big and the cups small the bra is really not much more use than a vest or crop top as the band is what's accommodating the breasts.
I must say this didn't matter when I was 25 and I didn't really need a bra, but at 46 and having lost a lot of weight it really makes a difference!
