Where can I find a nice party dress for my 5 year old?

don't want to spend loads and as she's tall she's in older girls section in places like Next (size 6-7) and there don't seem to be many dresses on offer. I think lots of the outfits are too grown up actually. Thanks for any suggestions.

Monsoon but not cheap I'm afraid. Have you tried the Debenhams ranges?

Primark has the most beautiful girls dresses for next to nothing. Also, surprisingly, John Lewis often has nice girls dresses that are reasonably priced (their own home brand ones) and if you catch them on sale....

M&S but not cheap. Not too grown up though. There are some lovely dresses in M&S for younger girls - I have bought DD this - but they only go up to 4-5 which I assume wouldn't be any good to you.

I agree about Next. I'm trying to get a party dress for my 6 year olds who are very tall and they are all very inappropriate in Next.

Ditto - Next.

Adams had a spotty party dress, which I quite like, but it's difficult to tell what someone elses style is. Bozza - gorgeous M&S choice.

It's on sale (always good) £12.

H&M every time IMO. They have some lovely girl's dresses.

But can,t seem to find anything online to link to.

curlydolly · 22/11/2007 20:27

thanks for your help with this. I hadn't thought of tesco/sainsburys so will check those out. We don't have debenhams here but had a look online and there's not a lot on there. I love the M&S dresses but didn't want to pay £30 unless I get really desperate. Some of Primarks stuff is great but again we don't have one (Peterborough - not great for shopping but have got John Lewis so will give them a try)
