Dry, sensitive aged skin. I normally use Cetaphil but fancy a change. Not L'Oreal, CeraVe or anyone else with a connection to Nestle and under £15 please!

Body shop camomile cleansing balm. Lovely stuff.

FreshFaceTime · 22/06/2021 19:29

Not sure about your specific skin type but I think I saw this oat one recommended on here recently: www.boots.com/the-inkey-list-oat-cleansing-balm-150ml-10278182 so am thinking I might give it a bash at some point...

ChequerBoard · 22/06/2021 19:30

Algenist anti-aging.foaming cleanser is very slightly over budget at £16.80 but an excellent product and perfectly suited to sensitive mature skin. I use this most days, it's light and fresh but cleanses thoroughly.

I use Cetaphil, I can also recommend the body shop chamomile cleanser and Simple's oil cleanser is good too. I've recently tried Superdrug Me+ Hyaluronic & Niacinamide Cleanser, which has also been good.

None of those break me out or irritate my sensitive skin. I find I need to switch my cleanser around every so often

ElspethFlashman · 22/06/2021 19:36

Try the Cosrx Good Morning cleanser. It's Korean and you can get it in Boots. I'm really enjoying it.

Carbis · 22/06/2021 19:40

I have really dry skin and use Superfacialist cleansing oil. I love it. It removes make up really easily, doesn’t dry my skin and makes it feel fresh and bright. Much better than more expensive ones I’ve tried like Kiehl’s.

Hmmm lots of reviews saying that they use it before another cleanser in a double cleanse routine so maybe not for me.

The ordinary squalene cleanser does wonders for my dry skin theordinary.deciem.com/rdn-squalane-cleanser-50ml.html

princessbear80 · 22/06/2021 20:06

I have similar skin and use The Inkey List Fulvic Acid Cleanser. I love it. I had been a devotee of double cleansing but have completely changed now. It takes of my make up (admittedly I don’t wear much), my skin feels beautifully clean, and not dry or tight at all.

mnahmnah · 22/06/2021 20:09

I started using The Inkey List oat cleansing balm and it’s gorgeous!

mnahmnah · 22/06/2021 20:09

And I don’t use it to double cleanse

PawsQueen · 22/06/2021 20:24

This from boots. It's weird, goes on like a jelly type balm/oil, then you massage water in and it goes to a milk and rinses off
Usually on offer too. To be honest all the cleansers in this range are great

This, either the balm or the oil, both are lovely

I second this, it's brilliant stuff, always have this in my routine. Smells amazing too.

I love the Bobby Brown cleansing oil - to purchase it is about £35 BUT that lasts over a year so works out cheapy cheap. They also do sample minis for a tenner, and one of them once lasted me over 6 weeks (great for travelling!) You massage it in on a dry face and then rinse it off with water. I love it, I have middle aged dry skin that dries out horribly with anything soapy and then gets spotty with moisturisers. This does not strip my skin - clean but not stripped, so I don't need a hugh greasy moisturiser.

LlamaofDrama · 22/06/2021 20:38

I really like the M & S Pure range. I've got an oil balm that I use on dry skin, usually in the evening, and a gel that I used on wet skin in the shower, usually in the morning. Both great and within your budget! Both vegan if that matters to you.

mrsjackrussell · 22/06/2021 20:38

I have your skin type and use superdrug hot cloth cleanser. I love it as it doesn't dry my skin out. I don't have the cloth really hot as I don't think it's good for skin. Cheap too. Around £4.

Sillybillypoopoomummy · 22/06/2021 21:03

as an addition - the benefit of an oil that emulsifies is that you don't have to cart soggy cloths around with you when you are travelling. I oil cleansed with almond oil for a while and got really fed up of doing that!

paradyning · 22/06/2021 21:13

@Shmithecat2 superfacialist have a sale on at the moment! I may purchase that oil thanks

Washing with aqueous cream has been a cheap and cheerful game changer for me

Bert2e · 23/06/2021 14:47

Thanks all - lots to think about there!

Superdrug vitamin E hot cloth cleansing balm. My normally sensitive skin really likes this range and this one was wonderful through the winter months. I'm now on a Hado Labo cleanser but when that's finished I'll buy the Superdrug one again (cheap as chips too)

Lookdeepintotheparka · 23/06/2021 18:45

I use Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser (Superdrug one is almost as good) or Murad refreshing cleanser. The latter one is ££ but they have some in TK Maxx at the moment for £12.

Also really like the Ethique Bliss cleansing bar if you fancied trying a solid cleanser? I find it non drying and lasts ages!
