Turkey Neck - Help!

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 20:39

I'm not sure where it came from - I think it must have grown at some point during lockdown. I was sitting in the hairdressers a couple of weeks ago when I noticed my sagging crepey neck in the mirror.

Can't believe my neck looks ten years older than my face - how did this happen!!!!
I've been researching non surgical options can anyone suggest anything that is quick and actually works!!! Thanks

Following. Zoom calls brought my attention to mine!

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 20:54

I was reading about something called Profhilo but there was a thread a while ago and it didn't get very good reviews.
I was wondering if anyone had tried radiofrequency ?

I’ve encountered a turkey neck following weight loss and I was shocked how distressing I have found it. I have spent hundreds of pounds on different creams, oils, serums and not really noticed a difference until I tried Cerave smoothing was Ha MD cream, often found on offer but one get second half price, 3 for 2 offers etc so worth shopping around. My turkey neck hasn’t vanished but it doesn’t seem as creased or wobbly after about 2 months of use. Hope this helps someone else and saves them the money I spent. I tried Prai neck cream and others I can’t recall the names but can dig them out if you want to know.

Ettie - Zoom calls - yes they can be very unflattering !

LED light mask with neck attachment

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 20:58

Thanks Tambourine - I have tried Prai neck cream but I must admit that was before I had such a noticeable turkey. It looks like my neck has collapsed.

Strivectin TL Advanced Neck Cream. It's truly amazing. I've been using it for 3 months and I'll never be without it.

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 20:59

Zednot - is that a home treatment ?

Aquamarine - can I ask - was your neck saggy and crepey ?

Yes, you can buy them for home use. Not necessarily cheap but bloody well game changing. You can literally see your wrinkles disappear.

Aquamarine1029 · 21/06/2021 21:03

Aquamarine - can I ask - was your neck saggy and crepey?

It was definitely looser than I liked and my skin was not as firm as it used to be. Huge improvement.

MiniMaxi · 21/06/2021 21:03

Watching this one as I’m pretty horrified about the way mine is going!

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 21:13

Has anyone else tried the LED light mask with neck attachment ?

Watching with interest...my neck is horrible. Looks like uncooked tripe!

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 21:25

I always thought I had been so careful to moisturise my neck but now it's dawning on me that I probably only moisturised under my chin as such not my full neck :(

RF skin tightening machine. You need patience, it needs about 10 weeks of twice weekly use, but it makes a big difference. PDO threads can also give good results.

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 21:35

5128 - Is that a home machine - if so any particular one ? Thanks

Mine is a Mlay one. Yes an at home device. It's on Amazon at the moment for £245 but worth every penny imo. I also have loose skin on arms, thighs and stomach from weight loss, and it's really helping that too. The silk n tite face tight is good too, but I think less powerful than the Mlay.
Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 21:56

Thanks I will take a look

Everybody stop!

I too have a horrid crepey neck and have had following weight loss in my 40s. I'm now late 50s.

But - and here's the thing - I genuinely can't think of a single other person who also has one (apart from MIL but she's 90!). Can you? There must be others but I've honestly never noticed.

Which means if I don't notice something on other people that I'm very aware of on myself, then chances are people don't notice it on me. Either that or I'm spectacularly unobservant.

5128gap · 21/06/2021 22:03

StCharlotte, that's because we're all using our devices! Grin
Seriously you make an excellent point. People look at faces not necks on other people.

Hello1290 · 21/06/2021 22:17

That's true - I'm trying to think of other people I know with turkey necks. Trouble is I know I have one! I might invest in a neck scarf or would that look a bit naff ?

Tbh I noticed it on myself and was thinking none of my friends had it. Then I made a conscious effort to check and they all did, I just hadn't noticed!

shetlandponies · 22/06/2021 08:01

Prai neck and throat cream is great!

I'm 41 and noticed a few months ago the neck area was starting to look a bit crepey ☹️ it's not fair as my face looks young (IMO! Haha)

Anyway the Prai has helped loads. I reckon I'll have RF tightening in a few years though. I don't mind a few face wrinkles tbh they add character. but saggy necks just look horrible 😩

Hello1290 · 22/06/2021 09:39

Totally agree face wrinkles add character but neck wrinkles are a different level. Oh how I wish I'd moisturised my neck more sigh....
