Bladder Weakness Pads

Not sure if this is the best place to post, but does anyone know any bladder Weakness pads for thongs?
I had a fair bit of damage after 2 kids and now have bladder issues and have been in my Bridget Jones pants since my son was born in 2019. I've been losing weight and am starting to feel better about myself and would love to move back into thongs sometime, however I can't seem to find bladder pads that you can fold over with string underwear.
I use Tena lights at the moment and have read that you should use specific bladder pads and not just Panty liners.
It would make a huge difference to my confidence long term I think.

I'm not sure I've seen any for thongs, but could you take a light one and trim it to size? Stick it in place and trim down the sides?

Oh also modibodi are suitable for urine leakage, and they come in a variety of cuts. But they're expensive!

Thanks.
It's like it's not bad enough that I've wrecked my body a little bit bringing my kids into the world, but now I can't even choose whatever pants I want!

You don't have to suffer this! you can either self refer or get your G.P. to refer you to a women's health phisio to get the issues resolved. There are some private ones too, not that expensive.
The one I saw was lovely, very funny and assured me she had 80% success rate and good results even with people in their 90's. I had problems running, doing star jumps and riding a bouncy horse. It didn't take long to feel a real improvement. After 3 meetings over about 5 months she told me I might not be 100% on the riding, which was still unpredictable, but over time this has resolved too. I started running again recently and it is so lovely not to think about leaking.
The encouragement and support I got was amazing, give it a go.

Do see your gp too

@Mardybum249 I get it. Childbirth injuries are something I really resent too.

It's not a magic wand for all, but I really benefitted from pelvic floor physio. As PP has said, you can refer yourself, or through your GP. (Obviously you may have tried this already.)

It doesn’t have to be this way OP.

Try a kegel8 machine or similar.

Mardybum249 · 21/06/2021 13:00

I've been with the physio since I had my son in 2019. Sadly there was a big pause in service last year and it's difficult for me to get to any face to face appointments with work.

I seem to get better then slip (basically it appears that my pelvic floor doesn't fully relax after a period of time and then it makes the exercises less effective)
I basically seem to reach a plateau and then make no further improvements.
It's only small leaks, but I've struggled to ID when (sitting/standing/sneezing etc) so we can focus on it.
I'm pretty sure it's standing based but difficult to know when you are running after a toddler.
Maybe I just need to be more focused with my exercises?

Oh and yes women's physios were fab. Because of my injury they called me within a few days post partum and was booked in.
At the start I couldnt hold it at all, then within 6 months I was down to small leaks. The difference has been really good overall. I just think I'm at that last little bit

I'm pleased you did get some benefit from the treatment. Maybe some exercise linked t the pelvic floor might be a good addition to the exercise regime. Pilates is good for me, and it has given me a defined waist too.
