Sunglasses for a narrow face

Does anyone with a small/narrow face have any recommendations for sunglasses (specific styles or brands)?

I sat on mine today and broke the frame. I just tried on everything in the only sunglasses shop in town and just ended up hot and flustered. Everything stuck out miles past the side of my face, and not in a glamorous 70s way.

Have you tried looking at children’s ranges? I have a small face too and my last pair of prescription glasses came from the child’s section of Specsavers. They look fine.

I must admit I haven’t bought sunglasses for ages though so I can’t really comment on the choices in ordinary shops.

I tried some kids raybans and a couple of others, but they were too small, I think I need an in-between (teenage?) size. But you’re right, maybe this is the way to go.

A friend has a lovely face which is narrow with small features. She has a pair of glasses with thick black frames which are rounded to fit her face. I wish I knew the correct terminology but they look fantastic.

They sound like the holy grail for small faces, @Phoenixrising2020 . For some reason glasses are easier than sunglasses, less likely to be oversized maybe.

Narrow face here! I find classic aviators look good, some brands give different sized lenses as well. If going for a special pair Ray Bans are very flattering.

Avaiators here too! Think, long face and it’s the only style I’ve ever been really happy with. I have Rayban classic aviators and love them

Oh I had sort of forgotten about aviators but I have found flattering ones in the past, good idea.

Im quite tempted to give them a shot as the price is reasonable and I could just send them back if they’re no good. Lots of nice colours too…

I got some in H&M for £6. They're lovely and narrow. Will try and find a link

What kind of style are they @waitingforsun? I’m not using the U.K. site so maybe I could find them. I had a pair of H&M ones last summer which were narrow fitting but it seems to vary a lot between styles.

I have these Rayban classic wayfarers with my varifocal prescription in. I have a small, narrow face and these fit really well and are very comfortable.

The best fitting pair I've had are from River island kids. I've had less luck with finding quality glasses to fit but I find that Ray-Ban Jackie Ohh works because, while the are big, they look looks they're supposed to be that way.

I will go and try some Raybans on calmly, I had a pair (in a discontinued style) a while ago and they were a good fit, I seem to remember they do different sizes or perhaps are just fairly narrow. I love wayfarers but my long face suits something more rounded, maybe Jackie Ohs or aviators would work.

Good luck. A narrow face also narrows down the choice in frames ive found. But raybans have been the best fit for me in sunglasses. I only seem to end up with a choice of 2 or 3 possible frames whenever i need new specs as nearly everything is way too wide.

Me too @Draculaswedding. My glasses are actually a men’s style from Persol, they come in various frame sizes. I can’t afford their sunglasses at the moment otherwise I’d try those. Waiting for my H&M ones to arrive then if they’re no good I’m trying izipizi and rayban.

I hope you find some you’re happy with. It can be a real hunt to find ones that don’t look like you’re wearing someone else’s specs
