And look great?

I am a size 6-8 have a very slim but shapely figure, defined waist and v small boobs! What do those of you that have small boobs wear?

I am 27.

I am also fairly skinny (size 8) with tiny boobs. I always used to wear padded t-shirt type bras that never really fit properly (if the cups were wide enough, there was always a massive gap at the top). I've recently ditched the bras in favour of very lightly padded (so you can't see my nipples!) bralettes and I feel sooo much better! And more comfortable!

I look good in cowl necks (wide shoulders, nice collar bones), v necks and scoop neck tops. I can't wear crew necks or polo necks.

I love having small boobs!

Squiz81 · 14/06/2021 22:39

I avoid wrap dresses for starters.

Swimwear, I found a lightly padded halter neck bikini top works the best.

High necks work well.

But I think a lot of it comes down to attitude and owning your look. I turned 40 this year and think I’ve only just achieved this.

Susannahmoody · 15/06/2021 02:56

Op? This helping?

Standrewsschool · 15/06/2021 03:21

I’ve got small boobs as well. Even when pregnant they didn’t increase, and I couldn’t find a breastfeeding bra small enough.

Have you got a pear shape figure? If so, go for patterned tops, high necks, halter necks, cowl neck, Bardot tops etc, ie. that will draw attention to our upper halves. Avoid v-neck tops - they’re no good for us.

I also wear a tshirt bra to give me a better shape (and also to stop my nipples showing, which happens with non-padded bras).

timeisnotaline · 15/06/2021 04:20

I avoid highnecks. I wear a lot of v necks - if I had a defined waist I’d wear split to the navel! Ok maybe not but it would make it much easier. With a tummy I think you need to bolster the boobs a little with bras but without then no bra needed.

Tinytits00 · 15/06/2021 08:17

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting so many responses! Thank you, some really great advice here and so much to choose from , some styles I hadn't even considered!

Yes, I would say I am a pear.

Where do you find is good to shop? I used to buy a lot from zara but the sizing and quality hasn't been great lately. I would quite like to get some printed crop tops to wear with high waist jeans?

Sounds like you have the figure of a model! Kate Moss has your shape and can rock anything. Also look at Megan McKenna she seems to really embrace her small boobs, lots of strappy tops and no bra.

JaceLancs · 15/06/2021 21:13

When I was younger with small boobs and more petite I suited an Audrey Hepburn look
Shift dresses - boat or slash necklines
Nipped in at waist short shirts with cigarette pants

5128gap · 16/06/2021 13:27

I'm the same and glad about it, as it's very versatile. I wear whatever I fancy, and pretty much everthing looks good, as I can be any shape or size I fancy within reason, with the right bra. Much easier to add than take away.

YanTanTethera123 · 16/06/2021 13:45

Deadly envious here! My boobs are the bane of my life, 38GG and make buying clothes a nightmare.

Egeegogxmv · 16/06/2021 13:51

You want people to help you with the problem of having a perfect body?

Clementine183 · 16/06/2021 22:27

It doesn't always feel perfect though, lots of people want bigger boobs!

I'm just about a B cup now (so still on the smaller slide obviously) and have to say I much prefer dressing now to when I was a barely-A cup. Yes technically you can go without a bra etc., but the problem then is you can look completely flat-chested or shapeless on the top half, and a lot of people don't want that. I think it depends whether you want to embrace and accentuate having small boobs, or minimise it (not literally, ha). I've always taken the latter strategy and wear push-up bras, avoid anything too shapeless or high/straight necked, tend to favour wrap styles or V necks. I can see that having big boobs wouldn't be ideal either, but personally I think those around the C cup mark are luckiest!

BananasAreEvil · 17/06/2021 05:28

I miss my flat chest. Perimenopause has brought these unwanted visitors that make me not know how to dress myself...
Enjoy it!

Coconut2010 · 17/06/2021 06:18

I am the same size and shape as you but quite tall and with a very skinny upper part and tiny boobs.
I don’t really need a bra but still wear one (padded) to hide nipple and add volumes.
For years I have had breast enhancement surgery at the back of my mind but I have now come to terms with being flat chested.

Someone in my family had it done 15 years ago. Since her surgery she has been giving me a lot of clothes she can’t wear anymore (despite being even smaller than I am) as the top doesn’t fit (she went for a D initially and changed for a C after 10 years).

I can wear anything I fancy. The only area where I am very restricted (and very frustrated every year when the time comes) is swimming costumes and bikinis. If I don’t want to look like a 10 year old I must buy padded ones and cannot wear one piece so it does dramatically restrict the choice Sad

Coconut2010 · 17/06/2021 06:20

My last comment reminds me I need to start a thread at some point on where to find pretty bikinis for very small boobs…

4PawsGood · 17/06/2021 06:25

Hollister and Urban outfitters had some pretty crop tops when I was in there at the weekend. I know you’ve gone off Zara but they’ve got loads of cropped at the moment.

BigButtons · 17/06/2021 06:56

I have always been small chested- has a bit of a busy each time I was pregnant but they always went back to the way they were. Now at 53 they are small and a bit lower than they used to be.
I would have loved them to have had a little
More volume. I have nothing on top.
In the summer I will often go braless but mostly I wear padded ones.
I don’t suit wrap tops and dresses as they seem to emphasise that there’s a space to fill.
I love halter necks and polo necks and also v necks.
I have no waist though. I am 164 cm and straight up and down and if I’m not careful I can look like a box.

MadameKali · 18/06/2021 16:28

@jasminoide
I feel your pain.
I too am fat and boobless. I don't understand how the combination exists 🤷
I have to wear quite a heavily padded bra because otherwise my belly sticks out more than my tits.

Salanda · 18/06/2021 17:41

@Sadik

I'd say definitely no v-necks, and generally not wrap-over dresses/tops. Round necks / boat necks / etc all good. Definitely avoid anything that has boob space that you don't fill!

I don't know how tall you are, but I'm similar size (though a lot older!) and also short. Fitted / tailored / stretchy shapes are good, when I was younger I definitely needed to avoid the 'dressed up in my mum's clothes' look. Anything androgynous is likely to work well, I particularly like asymmetrical zips / shapes that give interest to my top half.

I don’t agree. I have small boobs and I can get away with lower cut tops that I ‘don’t fill’ in a way that some friends with bigger boobs wouldn’t feel comfortable in because it’d be too revealing. I’m slim/athletic and tall at 5 ft 10, shapely (very defined waist) and I have never felt I look like I’m dressing up in my mums clothes.

Back to the @Tinytits00 I wear strappy tops, backless dresses, halter necks etc that friends with bigger boobs find a faff because they need to work around strapless bras - I can go braless. I like having small boobs - they suit my frame and give me a certain freedom to dress. I’m not ‘flat’ but they’re small (28DD).

FedNlanders · 18/06/2021 17:56

People say wear no bra but I look flat without it!

ShootingStar94 · 18/06/2021 17:57

I'm a similar age and shape to you, size 8/10 and I have always hated having small boobs. I've always wanted to feel in proportion! I'm currently pregnant and they almost fill a 30C which to me is huge, I'm so excited about them haha but usually I'm probably a 30A or B depending on the bra style.

I really struggle with shopping for tops and dresses because often they just don't sit right without a bust, they just kind of hang. I tend to stick with scoopy (but not low) necklines or occasionally strappy tops with ruffles over the chest which give the illusion of a fuller bust.

I tend to avoid racer backs and halter necks etc because for me the lack of bust makes my shoulders look broader than they are and emphasises my being out of proportion.

I only recently discovered that high waisted things can help balance the proportions and if you have a slim waist even better!

PrunusAmy · 18/06/2021 18:04

I'm around a size 8, and 5ft 6. I'm around 34A and I used to be more self conscious and would wear a padded bra, but I now prefer non padded or a pretty bralette is even better. I do need some slight support still.

I wear more fitted tops and wear fitted gypsy style tops a lot at the moment. Anything higher neck, though low cut gathered works well I've found.

Salanda · 18/06/2021 19:17

@PrunusAmy I’d guess you’re not wearing the right bra size - if you’re a size 8, a 34 back sounds too big. (Sorry, I know you didn’t ask and it’s off topic!)

PrunusAmy · 18/06/2021 21:21

@Salanda Thank you you might be right. Funnily enough I did a fitting online a few weeks ago and got 30D but I wanted to check the size in a shop first and try something on.

BoxHedge · 18/06/2021 23:24

I was very flat chested and straight up-and-down prior to kids. I wouldn’t have dreamt of going bra-less as I needed padding and shape.

I also wouldn’t have worn low cut V necks due to chest bones and blue veins showing, and obviously no cleavage or even a shadow.

All tops had to be completely tight, to allow any kind of female silhouette.

I’m a size bigger now and clothes look so much better with a bit more on the boobs and hips. Hadn’t really thought about how much easier it is to dress and buy clothes now, until writing this!

You’re lucky you’ve got a defined waist though so can probably rock the flat look better while still looking feminine. I have a friend with a great waist-hip ratio and she looks fab despite being flat chested and can pull off looser hanging tops somehow.
