At the moment its so bland, we just painted it magnolia when we moved in.

Im getting a new bed and want to vamp it up!

Furniture is just oak-ish wooden furniture, bed will probably just be a divan (get a nice headboard maybe>)

Everything seems to be blue and brown but just got rid of that in the living room.

Am completely stumped and uninspired

actully Im not, just realised all the roses are raised up, that would really annoy me!

Wallpaper the wall behind your bed instead of bedframe.

Use rich bold pattern.

Pick one dominat colour from the wallpaper and scatter plain accessories of that color around the room.
ie: a vase, sheer curtains, big floor cushion or ottoman, candles.
A nice girlie miror or big massive one opposite the bed.
A nice statement light fitting on the ceiling.

Invest in lighting. You can really change a room's ambiance with the right lighting.

Don't do scatter cushions, patterned bedding or anything fussy unless you are manically tidy (and even then...).

Go to Laura Ashley and get the personal sytlist. I had one to do my house and they are a very reasonable price, and my house (if I may so so myself!) looks lovely

Look on the NEXT website. They've got some really nice room layouts. I looked on bedlinen as well as furniture.
