Moisturiser recommendations for 50 year old

Dry skin, if it helps with wrinkles and sagging all the betterSmile. I'm looking for something that feels hydrating all day but without spf (I wear that separately) as I find they pill under make up.

It’s all vegan and really lovely stuff. Only thing I didn’t like was their eye cream as it pilled. They always have offers on.

PandoraP · 06/06/2021 20:16

Dermalogica skin smoothing cream is good for dry skin. I slap on Nivea from the blue pot at night.

icelollycraving · 06/06/2021 20:26

I really like L’Occitane divine cream, Elemis flash balm and used to love Clinique moisture surge years ago. I love the Elemis plumping mask which I use at night.

MaidEdithofAragon · 06/06/2021 20:27

Superdrug moisturiser and serum combined. Smells nice. Very cheap.

OxanaVorontsova · 06/06/2021 20:30

I'm 50 and have almost finished my first jar of this Q&A collagen and will be repurchasing, its as good as Elemis marine cream but only £12! Their peptide eye cream is also fabulous.

grownup2 · 06/06/2021 20:36

I'm quite impressed with this one - good skin plumping ingredients and a formulation that feels fresh, not greasy. Reasonable price I think.

This stuff is good for dry skin, although I generally wear it at night:

Thank you all. I like cheap so might start with super drug and see how I get on from there.

@PandoraP I slap on Nivea from the classic blue tin every night too. I’d not used it since I was a child when mum would use it if I got sunburned. It’s so hydrating.

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 06/06/2021 23:42

Pulling is silicone

Silicone is on the label as dimethicone or cyclomethicone or anything/something-methicone

Ren products don’t have the “cones” so no pulling

I use their day creams + separate spf for my 50yr old skin

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 06/06/2021 23:42

Pulling is pilling!

Alloutofglove · 06/06/2021 23:50

Seconding the Superdrug recommdations.
Simply pure serums they do are fab too

SpeckledyHen · 07/06/2021 06:18

Nivea soft

RampantIvy · 07/06/2021 06:31

Thirding Superdrug. They are cruelty free as well.

savvy7 · 07/06/2021 06:45

I used various Superdrug creams - they are OK but I much prefer the Garnier Organics range now - the Lavandin one is good for dry skin.

WatchingTheRaindrops · 07/06/2021 07:13

Nivea

MayIDestroyYou · 07/06/2021 07:17

Do bear in mind that your dry skin might be caused by diet, lack of sleep, your cleanser, or other products you use, such as too much or too little exfoliation.

Earlier this year when I wasn't sleeping well my normally oily skin became horribly dry. Once my sleep was back to normal my skin followed suit.

YanTanTethera123 · 07/06/2021 07:22

Nivea Q10 is amazing, it beats any of the expensive moisturisers I’ve bought.

Vyff · 07/06/2021 07:43

There is no pilling with the body shop vitamin c moisturiser with spf. My skin has felt great after using the vitamin c range.

WhatTheFrock · 07/06/2021 08:29

The only ones I have found that truly keep my skin feeling hydrated are from La Roche Posay; Ultra Creme (recommended previously on here) and Hyalu B5 hyaluronic acid cream. They leave my dry skin feeling soft and hydrated all day (which I didn't think was possible) without flaking/rolling off (which some of the cheaper creams did) and they don't irritate my skin.
Shop around and you can find it cheaper on various websites.

Which Superdrug one? Can we have a link?
