Really horrid feet

I have really horrid, cracked, dry, rough, thick skin over much of the soles of my feet, particularly heels.
I dream of smooth, soft feet.
how should I attack it?
pedicures never really make much of an impact.
top tips please.

You can get special heel crack-fixing cream at boots - it worked on DP. If it's really bad, slather the cream all over then put socks on top overnight. Also if it's that bad, a chirpodist might be able to help.

I love my horrid feet. Yes dp winces when he touches them in bed but they can carry me up a pebbly beach holding 15kg of child + bucket of mud. They don't feel the cold. They are okay at dancing. They also even look okay when covered in tights and boots!

Flexitol - I buy mine in Superdrug, not sure if Boots stock it. Slather it on at bedtime, put on a pair of old socks - wake up in the morning with gorge feet!!!

(May have to do it a few nights running for maximum effect!)
