What can be done for massive dark undereye circles? That actually works?

Due to a combination of lack of sleep and stress my dark undereye circles have gone enormous and nothing seems to work.
Apart from getting more sleep and less stress (difficult, redundant and now unemployed in pandemic) what can be done? Are there any treatments or products that are recommended?

I dint think there is anything that really works, I’m afraid.

I’ve been using a BeautyPie roller thing that I keep in the fridge, a hyaluronic something or the other and cold teabags/cucumber slices.
It helps hydrate the area so things look a bit fresher, but I honestly have given up on anything more.

Are you wanting to get rid of them or just conceal them?

Caffeine is a good skincare ingredient for dark circles, I believe. Inkey list do a caffeine eye cream. Overall though it will only do so much so you’ll need a good concealer. I like NARS soft matte concealer. I find creamy ones that are designed for under eye use, don’t stay put and don’t cover as well.

I have dark circles under my eyes. I had a horrible traumatic event a couple of years ago which made them worse as I did not sleep properly for about a year and cried a lot which is draining and debilitating.

I find a really good night's sleep helps (going to bed at a decent time/not watching TV in bed or playing on your mobile) coupled with drinking plenty of fluids but not alcohol :) and being kind to yourself in general, not putting too much on yourself so you feel out of control.

I have used haemorrhoid creams and similar and they don't really work.
Just change your lifestyle and get rid of things which disturb you and move away from situations you can't change. Rest your mind really I suppose.

Beautypie under eye genius is the BEST concealer ever for that area. Doesn't crease etc.

Saw recently on Glow Up that it's now a thing to draw in darker circles under your eyes, not try to cover them! I am going to tell people that's what I do Smile

Dark circles can be a sign of low iron, so try adjusting your diet if that could be a contributing factor.

In terms of something to conceal them, the Benefit Boing Brightening Concealer (comes in a round pink tin) is incredibly. It totally hides mine.

I like Becca under eye brightening corrector.

The thing that really works is tear trough filler but that may not be a route you want to go down, and is is ESSENTIAL that it is completed by a highly experienced registered medial professional as it is an extremely delicate area and one which if treated incorrectly can

Sorry posted too soon - can lead to serious complications. Some v. limited evidence for caffeine as previously mentioned. Otherwise, a decent undereye corrector (Becca, Bobbi Brown, Beauty Pie, Pixie all spring to mind) and concealer (Tarte Shape tape, L’Oréal More than Concealer, Nars creamy concealer are good) lightly set with a finely milled powder (NOT baked).

I just want them to not be so obviously there when I look in the mirror.. ideal world get rid of but I don't have a lot of money (in fact the lack of money/work is the bloody stress causing the buggers!) but can stretch to an eye cream or concealer if indeed there is anything recommended to work.

Sounds like the received wisdom is that they cannot be corrected so much as concealed.
