Bikini or swim suit help

I have a birthday coming up and my dh has surprised me with a trip to a spa hotel in a few weeks time now that the restrictions are starting to lift here.

I had my DS 18 months, there's been a pandemic that I got through by eating cheese and chocolate and barring a miracle, I'm unlikely to lose a stone, the cellulite and the shelf on my stomach from my c section in time.

So help please from all you wise and wonderful mumsnetters. I need suggestions as to a bikini or swim suit that will be comfortable and as flattering as possible!

I'm 5'4, a 34dd and a size 12. I have no idea where to start so any advice would be really appreciated!

M&S have a couple of different tummy control swimming costume designs. Show some cleavage and no one will notice your tummy 😂

Thanks! Smile I'll definitely check those out :)

I'm off googling high waisted tummy control bikinis. Might order some of those and see what they look like....

Sorry. My first sentence should read that I've gone a bit more chunkier than normal!! Typing without my glasses on!

Bravissimo often have very flattering swimsuits. I've bought a few over the years and they've made my boobs look great which distracts from my jelly belly. They've really lasted the distance as well. Mostly a good thing but I'd love a good excuse to buy more Grin

I just posted on someone's thread about White Stuff having some nice, not expensive swimwear. Tankinis are very flattering.

After reading some old Mumsnet posts, I bought a Niptuck swim suit. Goodish bum coverage (I am from a minority for whom swimsuits are not designed for and have rounded generous bum), ok boob holding capacity (before kids I was 32D, am 7 months pp with second and still breastfeeding) but the tum hold is what really makes it. Good tum hold. Not too much but somehow makes me feel confident. It's like a swimsuit with a brain controlling confidence chip. I love it.
Am a size 8, generous hips bordering on size 10 I think

Ooh thanks I'll definitely check those out!

High waisted bikinis can be overly large round the bum. Maybe look for one with a roll over waist band. You can adjust it to suit your mood and the situation. The wide waist band also provides some tum support.

Do check the bra fastening too. No matter how easy you find your regular bras, some bikini tops are impossible to do up or undo unless you summon a friend.
