White skiwear and general advice needed re ski fashion this season.

I've just been out looking for a new ski jacket and there's white ski stuff all over the place. Surely, unless you never ever fall over, use a chair life, eat, drink etc) this is an unwise choice? Or is it OK?

It seems to me that the stuff in the shops this year is just hideous. It's either white or really muted, very masculine colours.

I need something that's going to make me look and feel fab on the slopes. I've already got some grey salopettes and the reason I'm shopping now is becaue the jacket that matched them was stolen. I've got £300 absolute tops and would much prefer to spend a lot less.

Can anyone help?

Tchibo has some - hang on, will find a link.

Good prices, at any rate - no idea whether it's actually any good (though I've bought a top for running from there, the thermal tracksuit top, and it's great).

some lovely top quality jackets in TKMaxx, very few salopettes though.
BIL had Tchibo stuff last year and it was pretty good for the price.

OMG they're so cheap. Do they actually keep you warm and dry? Do they last?

Tchibo stuff is fine. Lots of Europeans use it for their kids. TK Maxx ahd loads in this week all rpices/colours. Turqoise and red seemed to be the main colours both of which are fine with grey. Agree about white, looks lovely on the hanger but soon gets covered in grease and yellows unless very expensive fabric. If you can afford to sepnd £300 looks at Blacks, Ellis Brigham and Snow and Rock websites.

Pennies - white is horrid, I think.

Personally I just love Belfe & Belfe / Postcard for skiwear... if you like the glamorous 1960s ski look it's fantastic
