Bumps all over forehead (pics)

I've had these little bumps all over my for head for years and I cannot get rid of them. I have always had very clear skin with the exception of the odd hormonal breakout, but I cannot get rid of these bumps. I've tried all sorts, and the things that makes the most difference are the Nip and Fab Glycolic Acid night time Cotton pad things, but still doesn't actually get rid of them.

Has anyone ever had anything like this? Just persistent bumps? I don't even know if they're acne or something else. I just want them gone!

My teen daughter - do you also have dandruff problems? The nizoral shampoo has an antifungal and this cleared up her dandruff and her bumps.

[Not a clinician] Possibly sebaceous hyperplasia?

I developed sebaceous hyperplasia on parts of my face in my 50s (I'm now in my late 60s) - particularly on my forehead and the skin near my nose. I also had them on the backs of my hands for years before they developed on my face. I don't treat them but I have managed to remove some of the larger ones.

I also occasionally get Seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, which looks and feels like "cradle cap" that some babies get and I treat this with Neutrogena T/Gel Shampoo.

The glycolic helps in dissolving the “glue” between skin cells that have clumped together and are slow to slough off the surface.

I’d suggest salicylic acid to get inside the pores to break down the accumulated keratin and reduce inflammatory response to its presence.

Oh wow, thanks for all your replies. This is great. I've never heard of this before. I don't have any dandruff shampoo, but I do have Dentenox for babies cradle cap, so I might try that and see if it helps, if not I'll try Neutrogena Tgel. Will also look to getting some Salicylic acid - any tips on a reasonably priced one that works?

A lot of products for problem skin, like Clean and Clear, contain salicylic acid.
