Best Budget Shampoo and Conditioner for Fine & Limp Hair

I have had quite a bit of hair loss due to thyroid issues and have just spent a fortune on high and lowlights to make it look better. It has worked and I am delighted with it, however it has also cost me a small fortune...

I normally use shampoo's like Loreal (whatever is on offer really) and also tend to wash my hair every day. (I know you shouldn't but it looks awful if I don't.) I think I ought to get something slightly better but cannot stretch to the high end stuff, especially as I'll get through it quickly.

Can anyone recommend anything more purse friendly...?

Thanks.

The Elvive one for fine hair actually works, I can never remember it’s bloody name but the bottle is dark teal.
If you can track it down, the Head and Shoulders ‘Volume’ version is great, but not often in shops for some reason.
For more dosh, the John Frieda volumising spray works, and the Aveda one is terrific.
I would experiment with reverse washing if your hair is fine, or skip conditioner and just put a tiny bit of a light leave-in conditioner right at the ends.

Op have you tried the Aussie range? It's often on special offer either in Superdrug or Boots. I have similar hair and find that expensive shampoos do make a difference (Paul Mitchell and Percy and Reed). But L'Oréal and the Aussie range are also good for my hair.

Oh, and peppermint essential oil has been scientifically proven to stimulate hair growth. Google it.

Fibrology, the L’Oreal one in a teal bottle. I’ve also just bought John Frieda on Amazon, a bit pricier but it makes my very fine hair really soft and bouncy.

Thanks! I've tried the fibrology one's and used to use Aussie all the time. Both are okay but not brilliant, although it may be better now my hair is shorter with the colour on. It's reassuring not to get half a dozen answers from people saying that using cheap shampoo is a bad idea when you've just spent £££ on your hair!

Lots of people on here rate Waterman’s shampoo too.

I've got really limp hair and have found Osmo Extreme Volume pretty good.

I pay about £7 for it, but it's a massive bottle.
