Wrinkles on upper lip: booked filler 0.5ml, advice ?

Hi everyone,

As the title says I have winkles on my upper lip, I’m 43 and have never had filler before so I am looking for any advice ? Or tips !

They are doing a rejuvenation which is 0.5ml I imagine that can be between both lips, I definitely don’t want 0.5ml in just the top lip !

Anyway, understandably I am nervous but I think this will address the wrinkles so although I am nervous I really want it doing. I really don’t want anyone to know or notice though!! Is this realistic or is is going to be blindingly obvious Grin

How much research have you done on the person doing this?

I know friends who have had things like this done and they didn't even know how much product was being used until the Dr saw them and had discussed the look they wanted. I'd be wary of anyone telling you how much product was needed unless you have seen them and talked about it.

Are you going to a proper clinic where the people are drs or dentists and have a good track record?

If they are not, I'd avoid them and look around elsewhere.

I have been to the clinic for another issue and they have also been recommended by a friend. I have seen the clinician and she is the owner, she looks very natural. So I’m hoping for a good result and a clinic I can go back to !

They are qualified aesthetic nurses, the owner has a degree. I did use a dentist before but she has now moved to a different town, hence looking for someone else

Perhaps they can agree to under-do you rather than risk a trout pout? You can always have more added.

I've just had 1.1ml put in my lips were non existent to begin with. I was really worried it was going to be too much but because I have such thin lips it doesn't look drastic at all. The only tip I have is lots and lots of numbing creamGrin

Bigpaintinglittlepainting · 17/05/2021 17:59

Oh wow that’s a lot ! Which numbing cream did you use ? @PivotPivotPivottt

@JinglingHellsBells yes I think I will do that, I really don’t want people to be looking at me and going Hmm

Yes I was really worried it was going to be too much but it wasn't I'm really happy happy them. TKTX numbing cream. It was still painful Blush
Bigpaintinglittlepainting · 17/05/2021 19:22

@PivotPivotPivottt did you have a lot of swelling and could anyone tell do you think? I have taken the day off work, I’m worried about having huge swollen lips that look like I’ve been in a fight !

They were a bit bruised for the first day I'm on day 3 and the bruises are gone I have a bit of redness around where the needles went in. Personally I don't think they look obvious my mum said they look really natural but then i don't think she would say if she thought they looked awful either so it's hard to tell GrinI'll send you a photo.

Bigpaintinglittlepainting · 17/05/2021 19:47

Ahhh that’s sweet of your mum Grin
