Superdrug must-haves

I don't have Superdrug in my town but have an appointment in another town today that has one and I'm popping in for some Sudocrem (for the baby, not me) so while I'm there, what do I need to chuck in my basket?

List so far is...

Vitamin C serum (recommended on here)
Simply pure serum (also recommended here)
Palmers coconut oil body lotion
Vitamin E body cream

Anything else? Not bothered about hair stuff, would love some skincare / body recommendations...

Why not have a good look round while you are there. Their own brand is pretty good, as is Boots', and they often have special offers.

I'd look at the make-up.

Spied · 14/05/2021 10:56

Rhubarb and Custard bath/shower cream.
Others in the range are also lovely.

Divineswirls · 14/05/2021 12:06

Hado Labo HA

Their Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser is nice, much cheaper than the fancy ones but does the same job

ftm1x · 14/05/2021 13:03

Another vote for the hot cloth cleanser

BlueVelvetStars · 14/05/2021 13:04

and you can shop Online at Superdrug 🎉

FreshFaceTime · 14/05/2021 17:38

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone. I did have a look round while I was there and grabbed a few bits and jobs - and know I can order online if needed - I just fancied a few tried and tested recommendations and knew I'd be popping in on my way past today.

I got the Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser and might try the Naturally Radiant one next time as it also has good reviews. Have been using the Aldi/Lacura marine algae one lately and really like it. Nice to mix things up a bit though.

@RobinRose I couldn't find the scrub but have added it to my wishlist so I don't forget next time I visit/place an order. Looks right up my street!

@Divineswirls do you have a link? I couldn't work out which one / couldn't tell if they had it in. I feel like I need that in my life!

This one

Hada Labo range

FreshFaceTime · 14/05/2021 17:49

Thanks @Divineswirls 150ml?! - sounds too good to be true! Can't wait to try it.

Their lip balm is the best I’ve ever used. I like the minty one. It’s not with the other lip balms in my local shop, but over near the healthcare items.

I know you’ve already been OP, but another vote here for the Hot Cloth Cleanser. I’ve always used the Naturally Radiant one in the mint green packaging. Complete dupe of Liz Earle. You also always get a new cloth in the box and so after a few purchases you have lots of cloths to chuck in the wash and rotate. Usually on offer too!

cherrytreecottage · 14/05/2021 18:02

If you go again, honestly pick up one of their body mists. I bought them for teen DDs for their school bags to save their nicer perfumes and honestly, every time they wear them they smell amazing! They're stronger than typical body mists, last much more like a perfume and only £3.99!!

AC12theletterofthelaw · 14/05/2021 18:18

The vitamin e body cream. It comes in a big one litre pump bottle. The pump bottle makes me very happy.

FreshFaceTime · 14/05/2021 18:19

@Snooks1971 good to see a rec for the Naturally Radiant one too. Will probably get that too and then just rotate them all.

@cherrytreecottage they definitely sound worth a punt! Will give the one you linked to a try. Any other scents you've tried and would recommend? If not I'll start with that and work my way through some of the others.

Thanks again. Can already feel an online order coming on...

@AC12theletterofthelaw I got the one in the tub this time but will keep the pump one in mind for next time... gotta love a pump!

Their wax strips for the face are the best I've found.

FreshFaceTime · 14/05/2021 18:22

@MonkeyPuddle and a total bargain too! Thanks for the heads up.

the layering lab sprays and perfumes are dupes for high end perfumes.

melissajanelee.com/layering-lab/

I don't find the scent lasts as long as the real thing, but you can't go wrong for a cheaper option.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 14/05/2021 19:12

I realise you've been already, but I vote for Naturally Radiant Glycolic daily cleansing pads. I really notice if I've forgotten to use them. If you have a Superdrug Loyalty card, free online delivery kicks in at £10.

AdaThorne · 14/05/2021 20:11

Thanks to this thread I now have two kinds of body scrub, the radiant hot cloth face cleanser and some purple sparkly nail varnish ordered.

£16 and I got a free sample of Angel to put in my wash bag too!

FreshFaceTime · 15/05/2021 08:32

@anibendod thanks for the link. Really helpful. Will have to give a few of those a try.

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants funnily enough there was a customer in the shop asking the assistant for these when I was in there. I didn't get them as I already have a glycolic toner on the go but I've since read that you can use these and then a toner so maybe I could combine? Don't want to overdo it but my skin is pretty robust so it might be worth a try. Have added to my wishlist anyway.

@AdaThorne glad to have helped! Enjoy your treats!

The Superdrug near me does brands that Boots doesn't have so if you're interested in make up I'd suggest having a look at the make up stands.
