Can someone help with my clothing dilemma?

Last week I lost 9lb, which was a mixture of being ill for 2 days and also following slimming world.

I've bought a skirt and top for a christmas do and the top is already baggy and the skirt loose. I have a couple of do's in december and aim to wear this outfit once or twice.

I'm still ill so therefore still losing weight. I mentioned to DH that I should get a size smaller and he said no cos I've been ill and I won't be ill for ever and if I want to be comfy I should be loose. I personally don't like things skin tight but feel that too big can look horrendous and feel as unconfortable.

I do not intend to put the weight back on as I am actively wanting to lose ALOT of weight.

Come on girls, do I get a size smaller or not?

buy exactly the same outfit, keep receipt, take back when you are very near the time

I have a dress bought 3 years ago, never taken out the bag (from LKBennett so £150), never lost any more weight and it was just too tight on the night.

Depends what shape you are. I am pear shaped so I would go for a looser skirt and change the top to a better fitting one as it would make me look even bigger than I am if the top was baggy but if you are a different shape then that wouldn't work. You don't have to change both, change the one that is worst and streamline your outline a bit.

Congratulations on losing so much though.
