I'm about to place an order with The Ordinary. What new stuff should I try out?

I have been using The Ordinary products for a couple of years now. I'm nearly 50, with olive, dry skin. It looks OK although I have some hyperpigmentation. This is what I have tried so far (some I'm still using):

100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
Agireline Solution 10%
AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
Buffet
Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Lactic Acid 10%
Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%
Retinol 0.2% in Squalane
Retinol 0.5% in Squalane
Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (I prefer the silicone one)
Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone

Anything I haven't tried that would help with the dryness (I already drink lots, moisturise and put a barrier oil or butter on top) and the hyperpigmentation? Of course your skin can never be too bright so anything that fights dullness is also welcome.

Thank you!

Shock

How on earth do you have time to try all that? Do they, if you use them together sometimes, react at all?
I do love their peeling solution.

newtolineofduty · 10/05/2021 18:58

Rose hip oil ❤️

NeedATan · 10/05/2021 19:39

@OhTheIronyOfItAll that's over four years. I currently use three or four products on rotation at night and three or four in the morning. I message customer support at TO and ask them how to mix/match the products so they don't react.

@newtolineofduty That was the first item in my list in the OP ;-)

OP I didn't notice as you'd written it in full! 😂

It must have taken you ages to write that OP! 😂

NeedATan · 11/05/2021 15:12

LOL.

Disappointed to see the lack of recommendations of new products :-(

I love Pycnogenol antioxidant after the vitamin c... extra brightening which you were after 🙂

NeedATan · 11/05/2021 16:22

Is that a TO product?

I have used the Vit C - it flipping stings (it says on the tube to use diluted with a lotion if this happens)
And a moisturiser which turned my pillowcase yellow (took me ages to work out it was this )
Squalene cleanser ok.

They're quite small and not £ so good to trial .

Neonprint · 11/05/2021 16:53

I really like their serum foundation

I also like the squarelance (sp?!) I use this with their oil overnight sometimes.

OP can I ask how you got on with their aha peel? I used it twice a week apart and it made my skin really really dry. Not sure if I just need to power through?!

Neonprint · 11/05/2021 16:54

Oh also amino acid I use it daily. It's not like the other acids more like hypoallergenic acid. So don't be put off by the name. I think it adds suppleness to my skin.

CombatBarbie · 11/05/2021 17:06

I am like the new copper buffet and the Vit C cream. Always use hyaluronic acid and niamicide though.

It does at first. It doesn't sting for me anymore, although I don't use it on days when I've dermaplaned or used the peeling stuff.

Is that the red stuff? I use it once a week for ten minutes and it's OK on my skin. But I have been using this stuff for a while so I guess my skin is used to it now. Initially it used to sting but it no longer does. I do use very rich moisturisers though and then oils or butters on top to lock the moisture in.

Yes the red one. It doesn't sting when I use it but it's just drying. I do use a pretty intensive moisturising cream. I think maybe it's a bit harsh for me. I maybe need to build up to it.

But yeah would def recommend the amino acids.

NeedATan · 11/05/2021 19:46

Thank you for the link - I'll give it a try.

As for the red one, maybe try building up to the full ten minutes by starting with half of the time (or even less) and see how it goes. I honestly cannot tell what it does to me but my skin looks OK. I have no idea which product it is down to though...

@NeedATan ha same!

eurochick · 11/05/2021 20:46

Niamicide seems good.
