Has anyone had tear trough filler?

I have a consultation for tear trough filler as I know not everyone is suitable for it. I'm only 35 and have quite bad eye bags somehow only only on the one side! It effects my confidence. Has anyone had it this done?

Not always good, my daughter had them and they went lumpy, had them dissolved,
Cheek filler will be better and got rid of mine

I had a consultation and was advised to at least start with a cheek filler, which I am very pleased with.

I'm 49 though, and was only concerned about looking tired all of the time.

Do you know why they advise to have cheek filler first out off curiosity? I worry about it changing how I look drastically with cheek filler.

I have horrendous circles and hollows under my eyes, I’m going for Botox in a few weeks (couldn’t get a Saturday until June!!) and I’m having a consultation for TT filler as well, but I have also read that a cheek filler can be better than TT so I’m interested to see what she has to say

I was told that you always have to have balance, and something to hang other fillers off. Tear trough on their own can look like sausages under your eyes. Cheek fillers lift your face generally.

I was also told that tear troughs are more risky, your skin is thinner and more likely to bruise.

I have had Botox for the line between my brows as it was quite deep and I love it.
So would they have to do the cheek filler and tear trough filler? God this is going to be more expensive than I thought. I really want it done though as it's something that really makes me look like I've been punched in the eye or up all night!

I've had tear trough filler and am happy with the results. The most important thing is to go to somebody suitably qualified. I go to a doctor who is also a plastic surgeon and been doing the job for 25 years.
If there is anything you'd like to know about the process, just ask.

If not done properly they can look overfilled but this shouldn't happen if done well.

Placemarking as I am considering it but have you considered Endybleph OP? I'm having a consultation but it is less severe and less expensive than tear trough. I'd be interested to hear of any posters who have had it done!

I had a very small amount of tear trough filler, I'm 35 too and the problem I was correcting was slight hollowness which was making me look tired. My doctor is very conservative and puts the minimum in at first, you can always add more. I did get some bruises (not badly), probably my own fault for taking some anti inflammatories a few days before. Avoid them for at least five days before as they increase likelihood of bruising. Make sure you understand the potential complications and that your doctor has the filler dissolver on hand (not to scare you but fillers in this area carry a small risk of vascular occlusion so I would never ever have filler by anyone other than an experienced cosmetic doctor).

I've never heard off endybleph. Will have a google at some point today.
Thankyou for all the info, I have a
consultation coming up to see if I'm eligible for the procedure.

I had botox with a GP doing aesthetics work for 16 years. She said she would never do tear troughs. Too dangerous. I watched a you tube video and that put me right off too.

Please consider/try alternatives op

I thought the effect was rubbish for the money and I wouldn’t have it again. It was also weird and uncomfortable and I bruised badly (had cheek fillers at the same time.) The therapist was delighted with the result but I could barely see a difference.
