Dry heat protectant

Does such a thing exist anywhere? I’ve been googling and can only find the wet pump type sprays. I have several of these already.
I wash and dry my hair and then want the heat protectant to use if dry hair when I use tongs or a waver. If I put the wet stuff on it steams in the heat and goes crispy. I wondered if there was something that would protect hair from the heat but stay soft?

Avedas smooth infusion might suit you, you use a teeny blob on wet hair and dry as usual.

Are you putting on too much / spraying too close?

Spraying from a distance might help so you have more of a fine mist

Also I find that if I spray all of my hair large sections then it shouldn't be that wet when you use the heat

Olaplex do an oil

I have olaplex oil and use mythic oil, do they do the same? Maybe I am spraying to close, is just a light mist of the spray ones ok? I worry about not putting enough on for it to work. I used to love aveda, a balm might work, I will look.

You need Joico Iron Clad spray. It's brilliant, goes on dry hair and no sizzle when you straighten/ tong!

Hair dresser used a GHD one on my hair yesterday.
I had a Google when I got home and it says wet or dry hair.
My hair has never been so shiny! Wishing I'd splurged now.

Basically you need to use the heat protectant then wait 5-10 minutes before applying heat. You’re not supposed to straighten your hair whilst it’s still damp from the heat protection 😬

I also use the Joico before straighteners

The good thing about Ironclad is that it doesn't dampen your hair at all, so you can spray and add heat straightaway!
