Best dewy foundation AND hard skin solution for feet

Weird combination I know Blush I'm venturing into town tomorrow for the first time in over a year and I'm desperate for a nice, dewy foundation that doesn't look cakey.

I don't really have a budget and don't mind paying a lot if it's really worth it...

I have hard skin on the sides of my feet and my heels, they're not cracked or anything but how do I get rid? I used to go to the nail shop for a pedicure but at £50 a pop I'm going to stop being lazy and do it myself.

Flexitol for feet every time.

Northernsoullover · 02/05/2021 22:03

You need a footner first. Then keep up a flexitol regime.

TheChosenTwo · 02/05/2021 22:05

Well you probably won’t find one product to suit both purposes Grin
But I find the Nars sheer radiance foundation to be quite dewy on me, and also the dior forever glow. I don’t really wear mine much though as I have quite oily skin so I’m now moving more into my more matte options as by the time my natural oils come through I end up looking quite glowy (I mean probably people are looking at me thinking I look oily but I think it looks glowy Grin ).
For the heels I would recommend flexitol heel balm, slathered on to feet and socks on. Almost instant results, they will almost certainly look better by the next day.

Yes to Flexitol. Also one of those foot file things- the metal industrial looking ones, not the punk froo-froo ones if you've got a lot of hard skin.

Microplane foot file (on dry skin and go easy!)
Then slather a urea foot cream on and put socks on

Foundation - Estée Lauder futurist, revolution conceal and hydrate are two I both love

TheChosenTwo · 02/05/2021 22:18

Actually I think the nars ons is called sheer glow. Sorry! I can’t even be bothered to get up and go and check Blush but a decent makeup counter or shop should be able to find you something nice and glowy.

For feet, check whether you might have a fungal infection. It makes skin grow thick/hard and sometimes crack when on heels/balls of feet. Whack some lamasil on for a week or so and see whether it seems to make any difference.

Newtons Foot Therapy Chiropody Sponge, got mine off eBay, scrub off the scuzzy crusty bits with soap and one of these. Magic.

According to my wonderful 'foot lady' some of the really industrial strength peels can leave you with very sore and tender feet, which makes you walk badly and then you get blisters and callouses.

She also favours oil, rather than cream or lotion, for feet.
Palmers do a coconut foot oil, I also rate Soap & Glory Heel Genius.

I love MAC face and body foundation. Really light, which gives it a smooth natural dewy look, but you layer it up for how much coverage you want

Ticketybooboo · 02/05/2021 22:31

I've filed and Flexitoled my heels every day for a month and they look amazing. File at night and Flexitol in the morning before socks. They were awful before and it doesn't take long, just commitment every day.

HenryHooverIII · 02/05/2021 22:36

Flexitol actually made my feet worse and really sore. The Scholl cracked heel cream is the best one I've used.

For foundation, I can't really help you sorry!

Pinktruffle · 02/05/2021 23:43

Dior Face and Body, I adore this foundation and can not shout about it enough, I've used the MAc one but Dior's is 100 times better and has a huge shade range. Get a sample, you wont regret it!
