Morning all!
I've tried moose, many different types of wax and hairspray but all either make hair go limp or make it greasy looking.
Please help! I want something to stop the flyaway strands and to give some volume.
Thanks all!

For styling after blow drying or to protect hair?

PinkDaydreams · 29/04/2021 09:49

I think for once hair is done, so I presumed wax but that makes it greasy

Haha at "Moose" a weird mental image Grin
What hairstyle do you have?

If I blow dry and straighten mine, I really like Elvive Extraordinary Oil. Just a few drops rubbed through damp ends before drying stops any frizz and Its lightweight, not greasy.

If I'm wearing my hair up in a ponytail or bun, I love Elnett regular hairspray. A trusty classic that keeps flyway hairs in place and doesn't seem to clog up in my hair or look stiff.

How about a hair clay?
I dont have a specific recommendation for a product, just thinking out loud...

PinkDaydreams · 29/04/2021 10:27

Hair similar to this, I'd like volume on top and something to stop the fly aways

Wow cool hair I love it Smile
What about setting lotion? My friend with short hair uses the Superdrug one.

If not a hairsprays that's non greasy. . Don't soak your hair in it or touch until dry. with a fine mist, apply at roots and to smooth strays. A bit of dry shampoo at roots gives some oomph too.

When I had short hair I used L’Oréal de-polish and got on well with it. It’s not as thick as a clay so easier to work through and not shiny. Since I’ve grown my hair longer I’ve been using styling dust (L’Oréal professional again). It adds texture and volume and some hold. From experience it pays to get the professional products from the hairdressers.

PinkDaydreams · 30/04/2021 09:02

I've bought a dust but only used it a couple of times. I think maybe I need my hair cutting shorter so it's not weighing the oomph down, if that makes sense?!
I'm currently using vo5 Matt clay but still find it greasy. I've not tried hairspray at the roots, normally just give it fine spray but the silverkrin I've got is making it look greasy

Try bedroom hair by Kevin Murphy. I also really like Sam Mcknights multi task styling mist.

Sunny1112 · 30/04/2021 11:50

Whilst this won’t set your hair it’ll stop frizz etc it’s the best I’ve found to smooth my hair out.
Only need a tiny bit

I'm a cheapskate so Schwarzkopf powder for root lift and vo5 fluff tamer on the flyaways.
