Dissolving nasolabial filler - what should I expect?

I'm dithering about getting nasolabial filler at an appointment I've got booked tomorrow. I know if I chicken out I could get another treatment that I've had before. It would be with my usual practitioner who I've had good results with for other things but I just spoke to someone I knew who said they felt she'd overfilled them. I didn't see her face at the time though (and this was a while back). If I go ahead but don't like them and get them dissolved can anyone tell me how long it will take before my face is back to normal? I've been chatting to someone online for ages and we're supposed to be meeting soon. I've aged dramatically over the last year and on the one hand, want to look like my photos taken a year ago but on the other don't want to look "done" or have to delay for many more weeks if the filler takes a while to dissolve. Has anyone had to dissolve nasolabial filler before and how long did it take you to look normal again?

I’ve never had it done before. But my understanding is that it dissolves instantly. You do not have to wait weeks to it to disappear.

Most practitioners prefer to fill the cheek in order to lift the NL folds rather than fill the folds themself in. Filling the folds can make the lower half of the face too heavy looking.

Thanks Pepsimirror and JMAngel1 - to be honest it's actually just the lines at the edges of my mouth at the moment - they'll eventually extend to be full nose to mouth lines but for now they're in their infancy! Do you know if it makes sense to inject into the cheekbones for that Angel or would injecting them directly work ok? I decided just to go for it with my person as I've always liked what she's done but ended up having to book an appointment for later in the month. So still time to dither and worry!

As @JMAngel1 said practitioners usually recommend a small amount of filler such as voluma in the cheek area. It restores the original face structure (which you jever even realuse has subtly changed) and gives just enough lift to elevate the face reducing the NL folds. Its more commonly used nwadays for less bad folds and you tend to always need cheeks done as well as or instead of folds alne or you can tend to look a bit chipmunk ish. It gives a mire natural and balanced lifted look, doesnt completely fill out the crease but looks much more neutral and youthful.

Dr Rajani has loads of videos and what he doesn’t know about cosmetic surgery isn’t worth knowing -
