Narrow feet and shoe shopping hell

Does anyone have any magic brands which I haven't come across please? I have very narrow and reasonably small feet and can't get shoes to properly fit without gaping almost anywhere. Consequently I have very few shoes and it really lets my wardrobe down.

I like ballet flats, more dainty shoes, I'd like a pair of neutral pretty trainer type shoes. I seem to have the most success with Ecco, Keds, occasionally Gabor and Sketchers but it's so limiting and they are never brilliant. I usually do my shoe shopping in the US where shoes are narrower but obviously that's not an option. I've looked James Inglis and searched for narrow shows but the styles are so so frumpy I just would rather put up with badly fitting shoes. It's depressing.

Anyone have any advice or gems to share?

Have you tried Jones the bootmaker? I have wide feet and would need two per foot.

I have a small narrow feet too, I find new look and primark the best in terms of fit. The more expensive brands are too big for me

I have narrow feet and the only shoes I’ve had issues with are sketchers. Clarks fit me well.

daisyjgrey · 26/04/2021 10:59

Conker shoes are handmade to fit your feet, they're spendy but worth it, I have a pair of the boots and the sandals and love them.

I find Dune boots really narrow, I expect their shoes are the same.
They’ve had some good sales on eBay recently.

Piccalino3 · 26/04/2021 11:12

Thanks everyone. I've tried Jones, Clarks (found them to be really wide but might try again), bit better luck with Dune but boots are not such a problem as they stay on my feet because they have higher tops to hold them on, I'll have another look at their shoes/sandals. I had a look at Conker shoes but really don't like the styles they have in. I haven't tried New Look but would really like something to last as it's such a pain and when I find something that works well I often get a few pairs. I feel like narrow feet are such a curse!!

I find a lot of Italian shoes are narrow, have you looked at Frau or perhaps Geox?

Piccalino3 · 26/04/2021 11:26

I've had some success with Geox in the past will look them up again. Just having a browse of Jones - we used to have a shop here but nothing ever fit so I'd give up on them but the online offering might be better. Just had a quick look at Frau, saw some nice sandals but not in my size and not much in the way of trainer or shoe types that I like but will spend some more time looking later today. I think probably French or Italian brands may be the way forward but really don't want to get into importing them when I'm likely to need to order several sizes so need to find some UK stockists.

Oh have a look at Mephisto as well

ElizabethBennetismybestfriend · 26/04/2021 19:43

Hobbs are good for narrow feet.

JennyBond · 26/04/2021 19:51

For ballet flats I wear Shirley from Pretty Ballerinas. They are slim fitting and have an elastic edging. Pricey but wear well.

Keds are narrow. I also have a few pairs of the Converse ballet slip in style.

Greenbriar · 26/04/2021 19:52

I'm UK 1.5 narrow and I get my shoes from pretty-small-shoes.com/

Wellies (no pattern) and trainers from the kids section in stores...

I find Bertie good for narrow feet.

I tend to find pointed toes fit better but that’s not comfortable for all day.
