Despair at maternity clothes on offer

I really didn't like the maternity clothes I wore during my first pregnancy so thought for this kind, I'm Gona buy a new set. Except for the fact it's all hideous! I've looked at next, ASOS, h and m, probably others...and it's just all crap.

Anyone else finding the same?!

I just looked on asos at maternity dresses, they have more than 500 of them and at first glance they look pretty much like their standard dresses, just made in maternity shape. So I’m not sure that they’re any different to normal clothes fashion at the moment.

I hated maternity wear. I ended up going to Primark and buying tops a few sizes bigger than I was and wearing those.

I seem to be very much in the minority but I loved my maternity wardrobe! I wore things from Isabella Oliver, Seraphine, Envie de fraise, Hatch and Madderson. I avoided anything twee, with frills or slogans, but also didn’t want to live in leggings and tunics.

Isabella Oliver was my favourite. Expensive, but I wore some of the maternity tops as nursing tops and beyond, and finally sold on eBay, so they got some extended wear! www.uk.isabellaoliver.com/ It looks as though they offer a rental option now too?

Maddison was great I agree, sadly no more. Seraphine and nine london also great. I had to have some naive stuff for work and they did the trick.

Also have a look a Belgian brand called Fragile. Beautifully cut dresses

Had a quick look at fragile and envie de fraise...think I'll be able to buy some stuff from there, thank you!

La Redoute does some nice maternity wear.

@WhatWouldPennyDo I'm the same! My dc is a teen now but I loved my maternity wardrobe & I wore mostly Formes & Isabella Oliver & Seraphine
I also had some fab 7 for all mankind maternity jeans
I had to be dressed properly for work but either way I wouldn't have just work t-shirts/ tunics / leggings.
I adored my bump & my wardrobe & missed both when they were gone!
