How to dress a top heavy figure

I'm really struggling to find stuff that suits me. I'm just over 5 ft 3 and a size 12-14. More a 14 I suppose.

I have a flat stomach but a large chest and wide ish shoulders.. I just look 'heavy' up top. Almost a bit unbalanced

I live in Hush or whistles joggers, Hush or sweaty Betty sweatshirts & t shirts and All Birds or Ozweegos trainers. Fond of a cropped camo jacket and occasionally jeans with Grenson boots. I have multiple amounts of the above

I'd really like to smarten up a bit though but everything I try looks terrible on me. What I wear probably doesn't do me many favours but can someone suggest how to dress a figure that's just short and heavy up top?

I go for v necks, or lower scoop necks. I think a high round collar makes everything look bigger.

I have this type of figure, though slightly taller and looking smart is something I never quite achieve. A structured dress, like the old Galaxy style though ideally with more of a flared bottom, works but imo is then too much, but nice for occasions.

Shirts and blazers, which are smart, pull and act like a straitjacket on me.

I agree v necks are more flattering although I think a high neck is often smarter, you can still wear a high neck if you break up the line with a scarf or necklace.

I mainly wear cardigans, open, so you get two vertical lines down your bust, again breaking it up. A slim, fine cardigan can be reasonably smart. Or perhaps an unstructured blazer, no buttons.

The trend for wider trousers should work, although some of them are too cropped, cropped make my legs look even shorter than they are. Some kind of wedge or heel can balance your leg length out.

A skater style dress should work too, anything where the bottom is bigger than the top.

I am also a bit busty and have very wide shoulders. I find v necks don't help at all tbh, although shirts/shirt dresses are good.

I find I have to stay slim to have any chance of looking good, I have small hips as well so triangle is really accentuated. I do look for things to add volume to hips to be honest and keep top half really fitted/sleek and no pattern for the most part (except for a couple of gorgeous shirts I wear with very trusted jeans.
