How to make feet look nice!

mamahoo · 22/04/2021 13:40

I'm thinking of sorting my feet out ready to wear sandals in the summer.
They have quite a bit of hard skin on them, and are quite dry.

Can anyone recommends some products/foot kit etc that might sort them out?

Thanks

I use Flexitol Heel Balm once a week which has 25% urea and is great for dry skin. For maintenance I use Altruist 10% urea moisturiser (daily). Get a foot file and sand off the really dry bits after you’ve had a bath/shower.

If they’re really bad you could try one of those overnight foot masks?

I’m vain and my feet are always sandal ready. I do find feet disgusting generally though 🤣

If you get a pumice stone and use it at the end of your bath or shower a few times a week, and moisturise after that should do it! I quite often use a hand moisturiser on my feet

Footner!!
It's kind of gross but works so well.
It's a foot peel but you essentially have baby soft feet after a week or so of peeling.
I'm gearing up to do one ready for summer.
You can get them at Boots or Amazon, amongst other places.

Feet need to be kept on top, regular pedicures and a pumice/foot file to get rid of any build up.

I'm another that likes nice looking feet all year round, even though half the time they are hidden away in boots. I also find that they get sore if I get a build up of hard skin.

Visit a good foot health professional or podiatrist, they will give you a good base and then lots of flexitol heel balm.
From a professional point of view, i am a foot specialist, you cannot get anywhere near as good a finish by doing your own feet as a professional can, then with good aftercare you can look after yourself.

BEWARE of foot peels, i get lots of people coming into clinic with burns from these things, and they only get surplus skin off and don’t properly remove it.

Seconding a trip to a podiatrist. They will slice off all the gross hard skin, cut your toenails properly, then you can maintain with Flexitol, and CCS Cream. I also really rate the Newton Chiropody sponge for filing off the grot Grin

Flexi til is amazing stuff, as is a regular pedicure!

Flexitol really works. My podiatrist recommended really slathering your feet in it in the morning before you put your boots and socks on so every step massages it in. It really works but is best avoided with your best silk and wool socks!
