What type of flexitol

I hate my feet :(
Dry, thick hard skin around the heels that won't shift. I slather them in nivea most days. I pumice them in the bath. I've tried the foot things that you put on like shoes, highly recommended did not make a scrap of difference :(
Flexitol is always recommended on here, but there's a few different types. What should I go for? Thanks in advance :)

Ive ordered it,thanks :)
Did it work well for you?

Yes, I use that one linked. It does work for me. My heels are not that bad, but bad enough and this does help a lot.

It's the balls of my feet which are awful, but nobody sees those!

TrashPanda · 11/04/2021 15:21

I've not used it but DP does and it has definitely made a difference for him.

Fluffyandsilly · 11/04/2021 15:25

I have to use a cheese grater style thing on my hooves. Just using cream doesn’t cut it. A friend with the same problem bought me one of these for
my birthday the other year & it is brilliant:

In fact it’s so brilliant you have to be a bit careful using it.

Mightlyslad · 11/04/2021 21:12

Thank you all

Ive tried all sorts of things that slice/grate/buff skin off. Vaeline or nivea and a pumice stone in the bath is my current method.
The hard skin is so tight that sometimes the pain wakes me up

Should I get a pedicure? When they're allowed? Do they help?

The overnight one is good x

iamthesandstorm · 12/04/2021 07:55

I used to use flexitol and a cheese grater thing.they are good. but recently I have been trying to lose a bit of weight and have really upped my water intake. my feet have been transformed. ,seriously ! now I just use a boots foot cream. ( which is nicer than flexitol )

PollyThePony · 12/04/2021 07:57

I don't find pedicures do that much as a one off tbh. But, maybe I've not been getting the right kind of pedicure! If anyone knows of one for SUPER dry feet, let me know please. Maybe if you go regularly it begins to make a difference.

I've even tried a chiropodist a couple of time but that also didn't make much difference and both times they didn't think I needed to come back regularly, which surprised me. But think they see people with bigger problems than dryness.

B1rdinthebush · 12/04/2021 08:02

I saw a chiropodist who cut away all the dead skin. She recommended using a cream containing urea which breaks down dead skin. I noticed a real improvement very quickly.

PollyThePony · 12/04/2021 08:04

That's what I wanted mine to do @B1rdinthebush! But she barely touched it. I have quite boney feet (attractive), so maybe they didn't want to take away what little protection I have on the soles of my feet Blush

Name change fail but nevermind

TheTestOfTime · 12/04/2021 12:37

Flexitol is good but I don’t like the smell, it’s kind of like an old-fashioned perfume.

I have had awful hard skin on my feet for years. Half heartedly used Flexitol and the Soap and Glory footfile, but these made little difference. It got so bad over Xmas when I was ill that cracks apoeared and (sorry TMI) fluff from my socks got into them.

I used the grater that Fluffyandsilly has linked to plus this cream
www.boots.com/okeeffes-for-healthy-feet-foot-cream-91g-10227941
Honestly the relief was immediate and amazing. To the point that I could if I wanted wear backless sandals this summer without frightening people!

Ive got it and used it this morning and will again tonight. :)

I have v bad eczema, and my dermatologist prescribed Flexitol for various areas (elbows, legs, knees etc) as well as feet.

I would have it in vats if I could.

I do have to 'take the pain' a bit, but it does really work.
