Sudden lines round mouth

Help! I've suddenly developed deep lines all round my mouth. I'm 41 and currently undergoing quite aggressive chemo for lymphoma so my skin along with everything else is taking a battering.
They look like smokers lines (used to smoke but gave up about 13 years ago) and are there even when my face is in a neutral position. My hair has also all fallen out but actually this sudden aging is bothering me more.

Can anyone recommend anything that doesn't require expensive visits and stuff injected into my face?? I'm shielding as have no immune system so in the immediate term I can't do salon visits; online shopping is my only option.

Hi. Really sorry to hear what you're going through. Typically, retinol/tretinoin would be recommended but I'm not sure if it would be too aggressive for you right now. You could try a normal moisturiser, just to keep your skin superficially hydrated and you could also speak with one of the online dermatologist for advice at either dermatica or Skin&Me.

Thanks. I got a sudden outbreak of acne on my chin as a result of first round of chemo and so dried out the skin with topical acne cream from Drs and TCP (I have to be super careful about any infections so possibly over treated it.)

My moisturising regime is working really well on the rest of my face just round my mouth is the problem. I've lost weight too so probably the fat on my face has suddenly gone.

I'll look up those suggestions, thanks.

If you have lost weight that may be it. So hopefully once the weight goes back on the lines will go. For now drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated, and moisturise well so that also helps with the plumpness.
