I went through the poncho thing a few years back.

Bought three, but couldn't find a successful way to wear them.

Was conscious that I looked like I was concealing a weapon as I approached shop counters with my hands covered up.

Also bought a hideous green one that my then four year old ds2 said made me look like a Christmas tree.

Plus, they knacker your hair when you put them on.

So, on balance, no.

Get one of those cape/coat hybrid things instead.

MrsBadger · 10/11/2007 14:46

I've got a lacy sort of open weave one. Sort of more evening wear really. Not worn it for about 3 years but might dig it out again.

ArrogantCod · 10/11/2007 16:13

yes, if they're a la Julie Christie's in 'Don't Look Now'. that is, just wool, no holes or fringe.

my mother bought one in peru in 1976 and it still looks divine. a beautiful alpaca one and i want. right now.

Primark uggs - don't wear when it rains or they become giant sponges!

LoveAngelGabriel · 10/11/2007 16:59

I have a lovely caramelly (is that even a word?) coloured one that goes perfectly with uggs, skinny jeans and a long sleeved polo neck underneath. I like the look, personally.
